that is one unique celi you have there. as for the rust issue my parts car has tons of it theres not one panel that dosent have some rust but on my gts theres on a dime sized spot on the passenger side rear fender. I believe its all the salt on the roads in winter personally im not going to drive my car at all during winter.
TEMS is rare? Before I bought my '87 I was about to buy an '86 JDM ST162 with 4WS and TEMS for $900. I didn't buy it because it didn't have compliance plates and I couldn't find it on the grey import list, I regret the decision now because it seems the compliance plates could be gotten quite easily :banghead Aaron. EDIT: My bad, I looked back on the emails and it was apparently a "CELICA SERIES 5 ZR 4WS" which now doesn't make much sense to me, series 5 = gen 5? ZR?
Thanks Aaron I also did not know it was so rare until I got onto this site and now I am proud I have one of these beauties just have to sort out body work which is now in progress will soon be posting some photos from my home made body kit sure someone out there are going to want it as well it's almost the same as my avatar's photo
The ST162 TEMS is near extinct, there are plenty of ST182 TEMS with 4WS, no ST162 ever had 4WS and it was a very bad idea ZR = 3S-FE auto There are/was plenty of riced ST162's - problem is none have lasted more than a few months and don't sell either, there are none still on the site I'm aware of
Hopefully your bodykit kit looks alot better because that white Celica's kit does not flow with the original design at all.
Two words - MAJOR BONDO IMO the only kits that do justice to the unusual shape are the OEM GT4, Alltrac and the IMSA. There are also a few a/m kits that do the shape justice, Aeroform and SSV etc Those Veilside style kits look crap on ST182's and even worse on a gen4 :barf
Let's all just wait and see it's my own design. If it looks like crap I will agree with all you guy's. For me it's not that bad I will try and post photos as soon as possible. How is my avatar good viewtopic.php?f=101&t=7574&view=unread#
at the end of the day it comes down to one thing. if you like it. if others dont then who cares. its your car. build it how you wanna build it, just always try and be open to thers opinions/critisism and vise versa anyone who doesnt like the look of a car. its the old saying, if you cant say something nice, dont say it at all look forward to seeing the pics
