Looks similar to this 185 front, where's it from? Never seen gas bonnet struts on a 16x?, I would like to see some lambo doors tho These doors are just too big for tiny NZ parking spaces, the stays have no chance against NZ wind either The later model I think is well suited for aggresive looking kits, might just buy one and do this, but the motor (Corolla) is crap - sheep in wolf's clothing!
will soon post them photos of struts on bonnet they from a bmw e90 and ja lambo doors is not for me never liked them they sell them on e-bay i have seen it before and as we speak kevin that valve thing and Italian guy we spoke about can't find him but one they told me is that the golf2 or golf3;4'5 they have used these brake stuff you where looking for
I was always thinking on the bonnet strut mod, so I'm very courious of what you'll end up It may make closing the bonnet difficult though. I heard that these aftermarket lambo doors are very sensitive, and you won't have as much space to get in/out as you would expect. A T23 owner here installed them this year on his car, but I didn't meet him yet.
closing will be fine I have done it on golf 1 which bonnet is alot lighter and it worked fine but I will keep you posted on strut's for sure just been busy again but have all the stuff already to fit only have to calculate it so you guy's that want it won't have to struggle limo door's skip that mod.
kevin those bumper's come from hyundai tuburon which I had to mod to fit and yes they alike never took notice
Thought they looked familiar What parts you still need? Spotted 2 cars at the yard today, 1 Grey, 1 Maroon with sunroof One has a black interior other is blue
For now Kevin my friend I still don't know the interior I am fine just had seat's redone in orange and black suede sunroof I am not to sure about that still will have to think about that the car is taking to long to complete as it is just can't wait to drive it.But thanks for thinking about me one thing I do want is the decals for the rear tail door as soon I have done painting it
Decals are easy, any colour you want plus I can do custom vinyl or prints. Wrapped a Nissan X-trail in black vinyl last week for fun Maroon car reminded me of yours and you said you needed door trims and switches, tails?
yes the trims I already bought from st165 and taillight from entrax but still waiting for the stuff the decals how much will you ask for the one that goes on rear spoiler that say's celica and all the small ones not sure what are they
For the guy's that want to try this out it's the Bonnet shocks been fitted and spec's on how to do it and hope it's clear if any question's asked I will try and answer them. Spec's Bonnet when openBonnet when closed. Shocks are 40cm long when open,Thickness are 50cm but 40 would work better after I struggled.Hope you's like it I like it work's perfect better than stay rod.
Looks nice! Would you make some close shots from the upper and lower fittings please? What car did the shocks came from?
ive wanted to do this........but i think im gonna stick with my reverse opening hood idea first.....then add struts to hold that up.
I will take closer shot's of it for you the strut's come off a BMW E90 but you can get them aftermarket they are used on trailer's don't matter what color you can clean the paint off them they look nicer then thee casing is aluminium it shines like chrome and yes this is all costum and yes the reverse look is also nice but becarefull I think the grill is going to be in the way
Happy Birthday buddy, I see you you got your present already. :cool The reverse bonnet won't work too well, it's narrow between the lights and a pain when you need to work in the bay I prefer the hinges at the front as the bonnet can't fly open at speed but you do have to remove it often
thanks Kevin got something else got to say thanks for my kids and wife for this present will post picture tomorrow
