    My 1988 JDM Convertible

    Hi,

Just joined a few weeks ago - great place full of great people here!

Here's some pics of my car (sadly roof broken - so no power to open/close, but manual opening/closing is 'real' hard):(

ha ha ha - been asked many times here:
    http://www.st162.net/forum/showthread.php?4822-Power-Hood-leaking-and-broked

Think its a rear fog light required by UK law (so maybe added it was imported from Japan).

But many members here say they have a 3rd brake light, but I yet to see a pic of this.
have u a pic of it?

Wayne why don't you incorprate the rear fog light into the 2 iner lights of the cluster ?
I did this on my gen 5 jdm much beter than the fog light stuck under or on the bumper .
My gen 4 vert has them in the cluster it's easy done mate . Pitty you'r not closer to me i would have wired them in for you

That is an excellent idea!
With your skills, I can make massive savings - maybe I should book a couple of nights at travelodge (@£15/night) just to leave the car with u :D

That is an excellent idea with the fogs - maybe another job for Martin - LOL (my wallet aint laughing though):p

It's an easy job wayne the wire is already their so is the switch for the aftermarket 1 that's already on the back .
It's just a case of taking it from the aftermarket 1 and put it in the cluster along with the holder for the bulb . Simples mate
Would look so much cleaner

It's no good wayne where gona have to have a mini meet or martin will have your car for a week :)

I could do a fool proof guide for you mate if you like :smilielol5
No punn intended wayne . On your gen 4 wayne the 2 inner lights in the cluster are tail and brake lights so inafect you have 2 brake and 2 tail on each side .
So all you have to do is cut the wire to the inner lights take the wires from the fog light and splice them into the braking side of the wire you just cut.
so the inner lights become fog lights alone . This is what i done on my jdm gen 5 . Looks so much cooler

I am offering a free service to do that for him steve it would take about half hr tops to change the cluster in to fogs :D

Only took me about an hour to do the gen 5 and that was from scratch . Wayne as everything in place so it's just a case of swaping it over
I could do it at the billing meet if he is going :D

Wlecome. And love your vert man. Or you can grab your coupe tail fin and incorporate the rear brake light into the fin. Difficult but real nice lol

    3rd brake light in tail-fin?
Nah - i like the tail-fin (boot spoiler) as it is!

Steve/shaun - yes i will be going to the august billing unless somethingelse comes up.
Not sure how long i will be there though.
Thks shuan - it would look good if u can swop the rear fogs around (all legal i guess)?

Yep all legal Wayne done mine a week bfor mot and she whent strait through .
Had to do it because she didn't have a rear fog which she would have failed on as it's a legal reg over hear .
Nice to have 2 fogs on the rear to keep it all looking balanced :D

I've always thought that too Shaun, having a pair of fog lights would be perfect. I could never understand why we just have one fog and one reverse in UK  looks rubbish and a bit odd, but I suppose it does do its job.

    Ok.
Shaun come again...wot do i lose if replace with fog lights?
And dont i ned to change the bulbs as well?
And wot do i ned to plug the screwhole from the original fog light?

Oh...ven such a small job and my heads all swirling already. ..
