my aeroform? engine wise one of my friends has a 4a for sale but im thinking il save up for a second or third gen 3s-ge. i have lots of parts that im not going to be needing pm if you want some.
update i found out that my blown 3s-ge is jdm. can i use some of those parts on a cdm 3s-ge or is it better to just buy a new jdm 3s-ge?
Apart from the computer, injectors, EGR valves - there's no difference! What colour are the injectors? ECU no?
i have too check the injectors and impulling the dash aprt next week so i will know by then about the ecu... i thought that the jdm one had no egr?
Even if the plugs are the same the 2S is 8v, 3S is 16v Totally different cam timing for a start. I've never seen a JDM EFI 1S or 2S either - all have carbs
Headlight, lids adjustment/settings - tips Yes, but 1st align the hood properly by loosening the 4 hinge bolts, set the height using the rubber stoppers near the lights. For the next steps I find it easier if the motors are disconnected 1st and the grille is out. To move the light you must loosen the bracket to the car body and move it, 3 bolts I think. 1st remove the black plastic covers, then loosen the 4 lid screws and align it with the hood You can adjust the up position via an adjuster and also bend the tab which stops the light moving if there's play/misalignment when closed Remember to re-align your beams when finished - Park the car 5m from a wall, switch on the lights and use the beam adjusters to get the beams even on the wall
Has anyone every done a 2s-e from a uto and hooking it up with a gtr 5-speed manual? i know i have to use the gtr flywheel but is that it?
update: the parts car mtor is out and seperated from the transmission(auto) and i now have the good car in the shop and now almost everyone in shop wants to help me with it and ask me questions some guy even thought it was a supra. but now that the engine in the good car is almost out i have a feeling that there are more diffrences between a jdm and usdm 3sge besides the ecu, exhaust manifold and red injectors first of all the valve cover is black instead of silver or white the second is that the exhaust manifold cover is a diffrent shape then a usdm. third theres a gold cover between the valve cover instead of black. theres some others but there not confirmed like the pistons have a slight dome in them
no im not sure that its euro il try to get some pics up soon. does the edm have all those diffrences? or can someone get me pics of a edm engine bay
-3sge -jdm has different ecu, and no egr...both usdm and jdm have brown injectors. both should have gold valve covers. maybe there painted? manifold is different due to no egr. -euro 3sge has higher comp pistons, different ecu, and iirc different cams. no egr no o2. -take a pic and we can tell ya. the only thing that makes more power on the jdm is the ecu. hard to find but waaaay worth it.
well it just got alot worse some iddiot in power mech dented my right rear fender, chipping the bumper as well as the tail light
Not exactly. There are euro 3SGE ones with O2 sensor and catalytic converter (140hp), and also there are ones without both (150hp). Either there were different markets within europe, or only the earlier models didn't have the O2 sensor and CC. For example my brother's first ST162 didn't have the CC, the second one did, and mine too. And all three cars were/are pre-facelift!
