so since the old girl has gone i thought it would be suitable just to change the name of my topic than to start a new thread,



so i haven't really put up much about this car. I've have already added my coilovers and my brakes, didn't put my suspension in the back yet but will do something about that at a later date. the car has just quietly sat in the back yard while i build my HQ race car, ready for the new race season. but in that time i did manage to start pulling some bits a pieces off to make things easier when pulling it all out, as I'm new to the 4WD thang.

obviously you have seen its vin no. witch id like to think that it is its build production number, if it is thats a bonus


these are just a few photos i took a couple of minutes ago, clearly you can see engine bay and my so called progress



here we have a classic example of some fools trying to be a mechanic and by the looks to me its two hole saw holes in the belhousing, which shouldn't be there

the body work isn't great, this is the only major damage, which my mate who works at a panel beaters said it will come out fine


clearly in haven't the F***wits owning this vehicle they haven't given the car the care that it needed they lost the pods and damaged the guard


also on this side



the door has a minor dent in it, wouldn't be hard to fix



over all the back end is neat, i honestly down think it has a GTfour bumper on the back, just looks different



some young gun did have two custom sub boxes built into the boot, so i have no interior in there at the moment because i gladly tore the boxes to shit.



apparently just under 200,000 on the clock, i think thats fairly legit, got the cool diff lock light instead of the turbo gauge



the ricer boys added some sick custom gauges to the dash, annoy the piss out of me really, but at least they work



the wicked centre diff lock button, and also electronic lumbar adjusting, i just don't have the seats, i have the wires under the seat but no seat to go with it.



and last but not least my buss came with cruise control, don't think it works but ill get it going..

the plans for now are to keep the engine looking original with the WTA cooler in place, i want to keep most things looking original, it will be going back to its colour code on its plate which is white. fid a good example for a front bar, cause this ones munted, get some actual side pods, have the car working as stock with all the things...... except I'm adding the ct26 twin entry and manifold and dump pipe pff my other engine, then look at putting the bigger injectors in and running my computer, take that haggard bonnet vent off, I'm going to use my white ones bonnet, that has bonnet pin holes so i will use bonnet pins until i get another bonnet, so the holes don't look dodgy,

But this is the general look i will be going for including the pods, i would love to get the OZ racing rally's but the rims i have are the Ozracing ultraleggera's which so i found out are not cheap, so i already win there going to keep my white rims off my old car, and these too, and I'm thinking these will go white also, will look into that later

 

so the other day i finally touched the old girl, pulled off the bumper, both guards, put one of my good guards on which seems to make it look neater, personally im over looking at the horrible orange

Hmmm well it's been a long time since I've touched this car. Haven't had the money and time as my race car has taken all of that. Which has taken me over 12 months so far

And you can see why. As this is what's happened over the last 12 months















So that's were I'm at. The car has its full driveline back in but not the right motor. And until this car is done the four doesn't get my attention unfortunately.

Ok so I also have a dilemma, I just bout a st185 for 1,000. It only has a spark issue and a bad exhaust gasket. Now the wife isn't too happy. But I have to choose between the st185 and the st165 and I'm not sure what to do
