ok so really good news just took the car for a spin up around the street. twas effing awesome to drive, i didnt realise but i had it at 150 without realising, and the brakes are great just with green stuff pads. i didnt get a video [IMG] another time i might. im probably in need of a clutch though lol i thought i heard a slight slip in top but could be wrong.

im just so stoked with the car, its the first time ive driven in it properly with the new computer in it. now i just need a clutch button and i can organise flat shifting and launch controll

Decided yesterday while having th day off I notice the car has managed to pick up and oil leak which was behind the turbo. And I notice the crack on the manifold has gotten bigger and a lot of soot has come through so I took the whole turbo setup off the car. Going to look at purchasing a new manifold tomorrow so I can put it all back on this weekend maybe... Finally took the air conditioning pump out of the car so now I have to find a shorter belt and the rib tensioner to go with it. Good thing I got a mate at Toyota spare parts... Will post some pics tonight

I really like those wheels. I see on page 8 you have a good pic of them but I didn't see anything from page 7 to this page of what brand/model those wheels are. Mind passing that along?

had a tinker with the car today and i got a clutch switch in and wired it to the computer and tested (sort of) so now i can have launch controll and flat shifting set up. but untill tomorrow i have no brake lights lol. i stoll the switch from the brake and my good friend in toyota spare parts has ordered me a new switch. i will be able to test the car properly once i get the new manifold as well

Was the manifold custom-made or off-the-shelf?

the dyno isnt far away, i just have to get the cash organised, but my general reason for the track is to give the car a really good run in (in distance) as the car has only done maybe a max of 2km once ever 2 weeks maybe, i need to bed the greenstuff pads in, my mate will be in the car with me with the laptop on his lap just watching everything goes really well,

Ok so I've just replaced one of my overly shagged engine mounts the other day and now it's ready......... ready to hit the track, I will be looking at getting to the track in the next month at least, it won't be this weekend as the v8 supercars are running at summons this weekend. So this ones a no go.

ok so alot of things have changed and decisions have been made, i have now finaly decided to run the car as a sports sedan, that now gives me the ability to modify things how i please and it still be eligable. i am no longer keen on any other class, this now allowes me to modify any part of the body as i feel, make all new fiberglass panels, pretty much do what ever the hell i like, take out glass and exchange for perspecs, you name it i can do it, there is a big list which i have sitting here on my desk that i have planned to do, some things are fiberglass front end wider track. another one on the list is AWD, alot of you may thing this is a stupid idea, alot of you will say y not just buy a gt4, there are not many gt4's around here and the fact that i will end up cutting up the car, im not cutting apart a gt4. i would have liked to base the car off an IMSA celica but there is no chance i will even get close

most of you are probably still goign to be like, why the feck would i bother, well....... im just one of those people that just likes F***ing around with shit. i dont know how well this is all going to go but im willing to try. the first thing i want to do is turn it AWD and aquiring the parts is first on the list. it wont happen any time soon and i dont have an expectation of time it should take to do all this, i will be trying to find a 165 rear end if i can, or a 185 if i get desperate. i want to keep this as close as possible to what the car is, at the end of it all having a wide arse AWD that will have slicks will give the biggest abilty of handling over a large range of cars that run in my state and possibly some that run in the other sports sedan series, it may not have the power but that will come. and my dream of running my car at bathurst can still be a reality as they run the sports sedans there on the 12hour indurance weekend.

i dont beleive many of you will like my decision to do these things but this is the way i want to go with the car.
