so i lost my shit at this car at the moment. it seems that in the time its taken me to install the injectors properly when the engine was out until now. one of the injectors have failed. which was an original problem i had before. i only had 3 working injectors. managed to find a forth one. and now i seem to have another faulty one and im now at a loss. i cant afford bigger or new ones. i cant find any more 550cc rx7 ones. and all i want to do is start my car. which im ready to do, so i could be waiting some time now befor i get to try and start it again

Yeah fuel injector had died completely. Also took another car hooked up to the batter to help start cause the motor was tight

Sorry guys been some time since I've last been on. Christmas and holidays are a very rare thing for me so I take them when I can.

So far I've had a bit of a struggle because it the Australian racing only one class of cars are allowed to run factory sunroofs so I hit an issue. Thinking how I could fix this problem. I spoke to a few people and they suggested wielding in a new panel. The issue was finding someone willing to lose a part of their roof for me. A mate of mine was wrecking a celsior. So we thought that would do. We kind cringed a bit on the first cut as they were a $120,000 car brand new

I was doing the right thing while we were cutting

Of course we did the right thing and measured it befor we cut but it seemed the celsior and the same shape roof as the celica

    Fit like a glove

This is it cut done some what.

This is now the end result ready to be tacked in

Thanks mafix. First time making a panel to fit somewere. Had a mate who works in a repair shop and even he was impressed. He's my personal spray painter. He's going to spray my whole car for $200.

Also got a little bit more prep done ready for it to be weilded in. Which will hopefully be sunday.

So I have considerably taken my time with the roof. I lost a heap of motivation with the car over the last month and didn't even open the shed to look at it. Until yesterday when I needed my golf clubs then I saw it haha. Finally got the panel in and done. Not bad considering I had to do it myself and it was the first time I've ever fitted a panel to a car. There will need to be a little bit of filler. But I've had heaps of compliments on my first ever effort.
The car will come out of the shed soon and see the light again. It will need a big clean from all the shavings that are scattered from the grinding lol. Then I can make a start on some light sanding over the whole car and look at getting some filler into a few minor spots like the roof and a spot on one of my doors.
Then I'll need to look at getting the car done shortly after that. Then hopefully I'll have the new core for the turbo and then the car won't be far off being finished. But at my rate of pace it still might not be until about June.

Sorry guys has taken me a long time to get anything done on the old girl. But I ended up with another project race car. It got punched outside unde a cover as the other project has priority. But I'm having a break from that one and giving the celica some attention.

But I got stuck into it today as I found surface rust last weekend so I needed to get a coat of primer on to seal it off.
