    Got a little ache in the heart... Think I'm gonna get me another one. I got enough parts to get a damn near bare body with running gear and still have extra parts when I'm done...

    Yeah, But damn, I don't want to build another engine... I still have the GE for Square sitting in the shop on a stand waiting to be done... I still look around for a granny-driven FE Camry like the one I had in the Lady... They are still out there...

    build a GE for it :D you've got the space/garage to have it just sit even if you're busy with something else. i can source a longblock GE for $100 up here

    I have a complete GE on a stand in there already, I just have to build it. I've had the damn thing for a year and a half... :hehe

    oh i meant if it was for square, then you'd need another ge!
    i'm still cleaning out redlady's cylinder head. the cams and shims and valves are all so clean!!!

    Nahhhh, I like to be a purist, or else I would have 2jz'ed the Deuce... :eek:hnoes

    The engine was a good one, just snapped a timing belt, and every gasket leaked like a stuck pig... I hope that comes back to life... Would love to see some of her donated parts live on !!!! :sad5

    Just gotta figure out how to diffuse the light a little bit going thru the temp gauge to lose the glare that it makes. I'm goint to take apart a GT cluster to see if there is a way to...

    rick, for the temp gauge, the glare is caused by the opening between the black trim inside the cluster and the actual gauge. if you try to look into the bulb through the whole cluster, you'll see that you can directly see the LED from the outside of the cluster. pretty much just adding borders around the temp gauge face should do it.

    Forgot about this one, I couldn't get blue LED's bright enough to see properly so
    I dumped them and fitted white.
    I have the same problem you're having now but the gauges are nice & bright so
    it's no biggie.
    Plan is try some red LED's next - red is on the end of the light spectrum and closest to black
    where blue is closer to white.
    Works for ships & subs so may be my answer
