    Lonewolf: Not too bright at all. Actually looks more like the late model illumination of some cars, very crisp and clear.

    Lion and Steve: Yes, there is a dimmer switch, but with LED's the switch is pretty much rendered useless. You can get a very minute dim, then off completely.

    Stig can answer this correctly, but I believe only US and JDM ? cars came with dimmer switches.


    UPDATE !!!

    I found some gauge needle paint on eBay, so I bought both red and white. When it comes in, and I get brave enough, I'll try it out. Probably on my GT Cluster to see how it works... Keep ya posted !!! :thumbsup:

    None of the JDM's have dimmer switches
    I even found the plug and tried various switches in it without luck

    Didn't even realise there's gauge needle paint, what's the difference to standard paint ? :eek:ops

    i second that, gt seats suck. ive got a 30 min commute every day and gts seats would be so sweet. has anybody ever done a write up on the swap?.....i own a 3rd gen with similar seats they just have a pump for the lumbar instead of power im kinda leaning that way...prob should bust out a measuring tape and see if they fit before i start ranting about the impossible.

    Alltrac seats won't just bolt in but gts seats will.

    It's florescent. Supposed to bring back the crispness of the old, faded paint on the needles... We'll see.... :colbert :hehe

    you can also change it from orange to a bright red now....im going to do that maybe in a few months.

    Hard cleaning a car when it's in the mid 30's... Ah, well... better than is was before I washed it...

    This fluorescent paint turns the needles glowing in the dark.
    After scratching the old original orange paint (it's very simple with a cutter blade on the needle backside), I tried to paint the needles backside with a red translucent paint, but it didn't duct the cluster light into the needles. So they were totally invisible in the dark...

    As Rick, I found some fluorescent gauge needle paint on ebay.
    Available in orange as original, or white, red, blue, green, pink.

    In our state, we have to change our license plates often to keep up with "Big Brother" so I never messed with it. I haven't received a request to change it in my renewal notices, so I leave it alone. As soon as I fix it, I'm sure they will just make me change it anyhew... :aargh

    Besides, as long as it is like that, I still have a project, right? :wink

    I use a program called Photoscape. It's free, and you can find it on CNET's website !! www.download.com
