right guys, i was talking to dave from summit engineering, Found him on ebay, a nice guy and hopefully he will join up and take a few orders for these brass shifter bushings.
there only $9.99 s0 it wont break the bank and they are by far one of the cheapest and greatest mods you can do for your gearbox, if you find you have a loose feel to it these bad boys tighten it right up

crunchy second gear?? these bushings eliminate the problem completely :science

since there brass they dont rust, also they dont flex like the standard rubber ones so they make sure you get the gear you want everytime while making your gearbox feel ten years younger.

so i highly recommend getting them even if your gearbox is in great comdition, these will make sure it stays that way! so i recommend these as a MUST BUY!!!
and id like to get a few more people who have these to leave there recommendation and opinion on them here also so people can just see the difference these make.
they are extremly easy fit and id say the only tool you will need is a screwdriver or pliers! even a novice could do it.

    if you want to buy

crap, i was hoping that the sand paper i got with mine was some magical 20 dollar piece that made it all worth it. as i paid $29 for the same kit from some speedsource or another. :roll im quite sure the ebay version would be quite sufficient at 1/3 the cost. though im sure for the extra 20 mine is milled to within 1/1000000 of an inch, made of adamantanium, and my gearbox will now be invincible to even kryptonite poisioning.

Sadly no, they won't cure a crunchy box

I just pull newer ones from later models (free!), seems Mr T did change the design later.

Newer ones have thicker bushes etc.

Don't forget to lube the shafts, it's the dried out shafts that are eating away the brass bush

Good to see you got them installed, sean! Looks good, and feels alot better. Already done this to my coupe, I was the one that suggested to sean these guys. And they are so piss easy to install.

I totally feel like I got ripped off, I paid the same as you did from Speedsource, and got nothing more than this same exact kit, this bites the big one!!!!!!

Mine are finally in  One was easy the other was super stuck on.
Both were worn pretty bad rubber and the center sleeve so I should see a decent improvement :cheers

I have brand new shift cables and a TWM short shifter, would there be a difference for me in replacing these now?

Most likely. Check out how much linkage play you have and go from there. Either way, worth the price to upgrade by far.

Where can we get the other brass (shifter) bushing set? I figure I'm going to grab them also while the car is garaged

For those with ST165's wanting a shorter shifter - just fit one from a ST162

Check the cups on the TWM shifter, later models had smaller ball joints
