Oh, don't worry, it's not an automatic carwash, I don't use that either. It's a do it yourself type carwash :)

Tell me more about this, sounds different. We have a "jet wash" system in the UK where you do it yourself. Pics of this place if you can :)

Thanks Jamezzy, celica_gt-i and PhantomJDM :)

I've been at an exhaust specialist to modify my exhaust to it's final state saturday. Again a very nice person, who knows what he's doing and does it well. Even his prices are good! Only problem that he lives 100kms away from me, but I can live with that, especially because of the many many ignorants I've dealt with in the past.
He had an ST185 in his garage when I arrived, he makes a 76mm (3") full stainless system for it, starting from the turbo. And an Outlander with an Evo engine, 3" drop, and a badass 76mm straight exhaust ending in a huge rear muffler (he did the muffler too).

We decided to keep the BEAMS B-pipe section, and only weld in a part to make it longer and that way it comes out much more clean and nicer from under the engine, and most importantly, to the center of the two mounts. Since the stock BEAMS alu heat shield cannot be used anymore, I've put on heat wrap.
He also made a full stainless, silencer middle muffler for me, with 90mm diameter. Guy welds so clean and professional, I just love it. He even treats every seam with acid, to prevent it from going brown.

When we assembled the ready parts, we discovered that my catalityc converter makes a clacking noise when we shake the pipe. I thought damn, that caused my rattling in the first place, magnaflow can lick my balls :aargh When I left, I heard it too, but it was different than the former rattling. As I reached the highway the exhaust feeled much konfier and not that loud and vibrating. When I got home I pulled down the window, listened to it while accelerating and there was no sign of the rattling or the CC clacking! I don't know what's going on, but at the moment I'm very much satisfied with it, finally :)

    Pics will follow.

    Thanks :)

    Now some updates:
    - I kept hearing the catalityc converter rattling more and more so I quickly ordered another one. Same model, Magnaflow 94005. Shipping from the US to Hungary took 4 days, shipping from my capital city to me took 7 days... People at customs were working really slow. CC has been changed, exhaust sound okay now :)
    - Longer driveshaft holder bearing was replaced, wrum-wrum noise went away.
    - Left side wheel bearing dust cover changed, whining noise also went away.
    - Changed belts too
    - Finally, I took the shifter piece of from my spare tranny (where one of the shift bushes go), and replaced with the current one, so I could install the summit bush there as well. Here are some pics of how it looked like after I tried to remove the "welded" bushing:

    Ugly, isn't it? :S

I also installed all the headlight pieces (sadly I didn't take any pics from the swap), and finished my headlamp project. It was a bit tricky, but it's done :) Headlamps can be adjusted nicely now, and the autopals are looking good too. I'll have to fine-tune them, but didn't have the chance to try them out in night yet.
Very courious about how they will perform :)

Sounds like you blew-out the cat :hehe I didn't know that was possible :ugh Good to hear you have it sorted now though.

As for the shifter cable bushing, I assume you meant it was seized on there kind of like mine was? I struggled with 1 for hours before it let go and could replace it with the new brass set. :eek:ops

No, mine didn't let go at all :ugh I took a rasp, and tried to remove it, but since I couldn't take the link part off the tranny (couldn't access the screws), I didn't reach it properly and couldn't do it properly. It was a hack, so had to be replaced. "Luckily" my clutch was replaced as well last week, and with the tranny off, it was easy to replace the bastard :)

One of our annual Toyota Sportcar Club meets will be held this saturday, at the coast of our biggest lake.
One of the programs is the city raly, which we have won last year with my brother (he was driving and I was navigating). That was the second time we won it. This year my brother is not coming, so I'll be driving and my girlfriend will navigate me. I wonder how we end up, wish us luck :)

It's also the first WTCC event held in my country this weekend, so that will be our sunday program.
What a weekend will this be :)
    I'll post pics on monday!

Now that you mention it, I promised a pic of the exhaust:

Stock BEAMS B-pipe modified to fit ST162 layout, bondaged, stainless hangers, 2.25" Magnaflow standard ceramic converter, stainless silencer muffler, 2.25" stainless rear part and stainless rear muffler. Could be better, but it suits my current needs. It's bearable on highway if I hold a constant speed, but roars wildly if I push it (and I hear resonating noises from a few directions inside). And I did it on the way to the weekend meet :) (pics will follow) There is a very good up and down hill stage on the road, and this was the first time that no traffic was before me or coming in the opposite direction since it's surface was renewed. I enjoyed it very much, not pushing to the limits, just driving sporty but safe.

In fact, I enjoyed it so much that I decided not to take the car to track days as I planed before, because this is what I really like. No traffic, no nobody just me (and my girlfriend) and the road. I know one have to be lucky to a drive on a good road with minimal traffic, and it won't be many opportunities, but I will keep the car for this purpose. Enjoying road trips if we go somewhere :) And hey, we are all "stupid" more or less, owning a car like ours was never a choice of pure logic or common sense, it's about our heart, you all know that :)

Sorry if I were too long, but I felt like writing this down.

There were not many cars due to the WTCC event near our capital city, but the meet was good. My girlfriend navigated me quite good and we answered the questions well, but I f*ed up the other quiz part so we ended in second place in the city raly :banghead Anyways, it was fun :)

    Small update:

I have replaced my momo shift knob with the TRD one. It sits lower and fits the car more nicely :)

Well, I have to say that the TRD knob is not just looking nicer, but shifting got much easier and precise with it. Yes, it's shorter but I think it has do something with the fact that it mounts by screwing it on, while the momo one isn't. It has to be fastened with 3 little "headless" bolts on the lower part, and it has a rubber hull inside. Don't ever buy a shift knob with this design you guys!
