Not strictly true, that pic is a UK car (chan110, shean4vert) plus the AT160's have it on the right.
From what I can see it's all the cars with ABS that have the overflow bottle swapped with a fusebox (Fernando, Rickstar etc)

Still don't know what that humungus resisistor is for and there's a few like that

Me too, you must be my height cuz I found it irritating as well.
Next will be a glass roof like Mafix fitted, but I'll decide after I get the aircon functioning again.
I do miss the maplights though

Got a pic of the NADM ABS location?

There is not one single pic in the engine bay section which proves what you say?
Even the UK/Euro GT4's have the bottle on the right, so you can't generalize just because you have an odd car

"CJN" - once again I see a bottle and that strange resistor

I haven't see any cars yet here in Europe that had the overflow bottle behind the battery.

I don't think you will, apart from those with ABS.
I still stand in my belief that Sean's car was built from leftovers and sold long after the run ended

Nope that's rite Wayne no ABS or rear disc on your JDM vert

Has for that larger resistor i don't realy no what it's for,
Asfar as i can follow the wiring it goes to the headlight motors.', But it's in the loom so could be going back to the fuse box by the left side of the battery

None of the Corona ST162's have rear disks.
Your car was originally destined to be a Corona and converted to a convertible instead

I think ABS was available there too but never seen one yet, I did once see a special Corona with leather interior and I think it did have ABS and a digital dash

so many little variations on european/us /jap spec cars...was interesting for me to see Waynes JDM car (dont see many here) with the -FE engine and the layout.
From what i've seen over here, prefacelift UK cars with 3SGE generally dont have ABS unless it was available as an option, even then i dont know when the option was available.1986 cars ive never seen it on,though thats not to say a late 87-88 UK wont have it...if it was available im sure some would have paid for it.
I bought a facelift 88 car as a donor. It had ABS same as all the facelift cars ive seen but it didnt have Aircon.Again, another option the original buyer didnt take up.My 87 car has no ABS but aircon is fitted, with the Eco button on it.
ABS cars have the water bottle in front of the battery, however with no ABS unit though, its on the left by the alternator as you can see in the shot of my 'CJN's bay. That metal box i dont know what it is,i would guess some form of heatsoak unit, but its a guess...hmm

i'm guessing that even for nadm 162's that the overflow bottle is near the battery. interesting place for the cruise control

or maybe the cars with abs has a bottle under the battery... would make more sense... all those engine bays with the bottle had no ABS, and both my celicas have the bottle under the battery
