basically, given the right tools, i know i can replace the head myself. trailer won't work because i'd need to be 25+ to rent. i'm pretty confident that the celi can make it to rick's if that works better, but i'm pretty sure you guys have work and all. otherwise i could grab the head and i could just try it myself. how much would you think shipping would cost? lol

we got a surprise snowstorm here (already mid april wtf!!) and i decided that if i'm not going to be able to have this fun with this car by the time it's next winter, i'm gonna take advantage of it now.


30% summer tires? not a problem. i went up a 10% grade uphill with it, no prob.

i could get used to the all white + all trac bumper look

new front mount. took 7 weeks to deliver, but all good.

the celi still nudges forward when i engage Drive, anyone else with an Auto have the same thing? cuz if it wasn't the front mount, then i'd have to tackle the rear mounts...this one i can use polyurethane for since the front one you can't, it's like this for automatic FE's:

it's a rubber rectangular block in the middle of the two metal parts, my old one was shot, ripped on both sides of the rubber

has something to do with the auto trans. and maybe only on FE's

i'll check the rear one as well. i just wanna get them fixed so i can get a new flexpipe already. i don't wanna replace the flexpipe if it's just gonna get ripped to shreds again

kay recent updates. i investigated my heating problem and it turns out that it's not the panel's problem. the motor that moves the flap from hot/cold after the blower fan gets stuck. i tried to force it loose and it seems that i've broken something inside. i just hear a motor spinning whenever i change my temperature. help/advice?

wasn't able to drive down to pick up red lady's head, so i'm running thicker oil now and the tappet is less noisy. i've been away for a week at Whistler, B.C. for a friend getaway, so the celi didn't get driven a lot since my last update.

A list of to updated to do:
top end rebuild/replace
rear engine mount (next week)
flexpipe (next week)
windshield replacement (there's a crack that's getting bigger, two weeks from now)
reseal right quarter window, apparently my sealing isn't that good.

student financial aid is coming in. so lots in store for my celi.

okay. so not only do i have a problem with the engine head, but now my auto tranny slips when cold. it doesn't go into 2nd gear from a cold start until about 2 minutes of driving. takes another 2 minutes being in 2nd gear for 3rd to kick in.

basically it seems like every gear needs to be "warmed up" before kickin in. and when i step on the gas too much, it will downshift wayy to early. like once on the highway i was going 90km/h, stepped on the gas to pass and it slipped and revved to redline.

both engine and tranny have never been rebuilt. 240k km's

the fuck do i do now?
