I know right?! Sheeeez that car is just a beaut. I'd be drivin up there right now if i had some extra cash.

I just replaced my windshield wipers as well. I forgot what brand it was I think it was Boston...something with a 'B'. But the installation was awkward, took me a bit, very frustrating. With my 03 Corolla it just snapped it right on.

Totally agree with you there. At first, I bought the blades from Autozone thinking that installation would be simple, since people usually say that this stuff was simple. I mean hey, there's an instruction manual, what could go wrong? Soon found out that plenty could go wrong and was annoyed at the fact that the instructions ordered me to unclip a clip that was nonexistent on my car. Sad, and thinking that I was retarded, I went back to my local autozone so that they could do it for me. They went through a bunch of different wipers only to find that none of them would fit on properly since most were designed for modern cars with that simple clip thing. Then my dad was like "screw it" and went out and bought expensive (compared to the ones that didn't fit) Rain x blades to stick on my car. We thought it fit perfectly since it didn't fall off or anything after a few test wipes. Little did I expect that one of the blades would freakin fly off on a day with heavy rain... -_-

We're probably gonna try going to a Toyota dealer and asking them for windshield wipers (the little wiper insert that is no longer sold in most stores)

Dang man! That sucks. I went to autozone as well. My dad assisted me with one wiper and he too was flustered. But he's like a damn McGyver he fixes everything and in a few mins he got it in. But I did the other wiper. Man you know what you got me wanting to check my wipers in the morning haha.

I ended up just using my original wipers and getting the inserts from Toyota...

I recently found wheels for really cheap and am thinking of getting them...(65 for 5!!!)
They are from... (you totally didn't see this coming!) a Jeep.
    Here's a really rough Photoshop:
Made the wheels a little too big but you get the point...

    Opinions?

Enkei 92's, Diamond Racing's, BBS RS or LM reps, Rikens possibly. . .

Or maybe even a set of Gold 15x7 Work Equip 03 reps with 0 offset :cool

    Re: (To be) Stanced Celica

Enkei's maybe, Diamonds maybe, RS's out of my budget, LM's out of my budget, and I don't they come in 15's, Rikens maybe (I I could find a set...), and no on work equip reps.
    1. It would be copying you.
    2. My car's a 5 lug. I think they only make those in 4 lug patterns...

Yea... Anyone know of there's a 5 to 4 lug adapter out there?

Right now, I'm thinking either enkei mesh +5x114.3 adapter or Diamonds. Both are 15's, but I think the diamonds will have a lower offset.

5 lugs are better then 4... don't ever go from 5 to 4...

    Re: (To be) Stanced Celica

There are more 15-16 inch 4 lug wheels than 5 lug ones out there...
Plus, the 4 lug ones tend to be cheaper.

Unless switching from 5 to 4 is possible and is under 100 bucks, I'll probably just stick with my current bolt pattern or go 5x114.3.

Found these wheels at a pretty good price. :)

    What do you guys think?
    I think the specs are 15x7 -13 offset and 15x8 -32 offset.

How much do you guys think it'll poke past my fenders? Would I have to get fender flares or would rolling/pulling suffice?

    Re: (To be) Stanced Celica

they look great the center caps stick out too much for me but you'll end up spending a lot for tires since you can't rotate them since they're not the same size and roll your fenders.

    Re: (To be) Stanced Celica

At that size width and negative offset, yes. . .

They'll definitely stick out past the fenders. Heavy fender-rolling/pulling/shaving will be necessary. And even after all that, negative-camber for sure and possibly even fender flares.

Remember, my set is 15x7 all around at 0 offset. And with minor negative camber up front, it barely sits flush to the fender somewhat.

I haven't even mentioned tire size yet.

You know what, we definitely need to make a point to meet up so you can see for yourself and then go from there.

    T.O.R.C. Fest?

Anyone remember that one white ST165 with the super poke?
If you do, do you think this setup will poke as far as that?
Can't find pics of that car at the moment...

I've been looking at this offset calculator for a bit.: http://www.jonathanrowny.com/page/offset-calculator
Problem is that I don't know the distance between the hub and the fender...

    @PhantomJDM
Yeah, I personally would take the center caps off. I don't really like 'em either.

    @cliffmeister

Yes, we need to meet up! T.O.R.C Fest is on the same week as one of my midterms, but I'll see what I can do...

^You talking about the really wide Enkei 92's?

Unfortunately, those were sold before I could call the guy up. :aargh

I'm back to thinking about the Diamonds again. (lol I'm like bipolar when it comes to making choices. :banghead )
Unless of course, I run into some low offset gold mesh wheels like the ones in my sig. I <3 gold mesh wheels.

I agree with you completely Lion about the wiring hell and i'm also struggling with the exhaust set up especially the connection with the b pipe and catalytic converter. The bend of the pipe hits the bottom of my firewall. Plus even though my BEAMS swap was the Celica version I had various parts that were missing. You guys should check out bidjdm.com. Its a division of rhdjapan.com where jdm parts are up for sale as well as other japanese amenities. Thats where I found all my other remaining parts as well as the BEAMS forum on MR2.com.

Thai if you're really interested in the BEAMS swap check the MR2.com, there's a dedicated section for the BEAMS with tons of info about it and how to install it. As for the intake on the BEAMS, I took the modified intake route with the Sard intake and it works quite well from reviews and the little experience i have with it but the stock intake layout is technically the best thats why I have it as a spare :cool

^ You should get an SAFC to get all the benefits from the SARD kit.

Yup, I forgot to mention that there can be numerous missing parts on the eBay engines, one have to be very careful when purchasing. I was very lucky to find an engine directly from japan, and it had everything except the O2 sensor. Dude even sent me a SARD intake kit like yours, and the full MR2 exhaust :)
