My rear windows need resealing as well. Fogs up the car when it rains, not to mention a bit of a leak.

Fantastic ride for sure !!!! . Funny how the leaks come in droves...after the Tahoe ran me over at my work, the driver quarter glass is now leaking :aargh . I keep drying things out, but I still fog up when it's raining out. That problem is bugging me to the point where it will be fixed very soon... :cuss :hehe

    Re: (To be) Stanced Celica

Talk about fogging up, I had 4 people in the car. Body warmth=more fog. It was raining, it was pouring, car was fogging up to hell, visibilty went down by alot, not only that it was during the night. It was so bad. Luckily I always bring towels in the car and my brother was helping me wipe up the fog which didn't do much good. Had to drive in the freeway like that :eek:hnoes. Don't think I learned my lesson cause I drove the car again in the rain today. I love this car too much.

Anyway, I prefer to reseal all windows when I get the car painted hopefully sometime this year.

i've somehow kept the fog under control by keeping hvac controls in fresh air mode instead of circulate. i found that if it's raining and cold, circulate adds more fogginess, but fresh air clears things up. iuno if that helps anyone, but that's my case

turn on your ac, even with the heat on. it will dry the air as its re-circulated. just learned this and use it in the cruiser, works great.

I don't have Ac or heat. But I turn the defogger on nonethless. Sometimes it works. Doesn't hurt to try

Thanks for the tips on the defogging guys. lol there've been a few times where I drove with the windows all fogged up. :eek:hnoes thank goodness those times were at night so that I could see other people's headlights.
Although the weird thing is that my car seems to fog up on the outside most of the time. (which isn't too bad cause I can use my windshield wipers)

Just test fitted a little something from Home Depot. :cool
Used scotch tape for maximum ghetto! :barf (lol, will use double sided tape and whatever else is necessary if I do decide to go with this.)
Tell me what do you guys think: (Pretend the scotch tape isn't there. lol)

I think it looks better without it, a more cleaner and less fussy look.

    Re: (To be) Stanced Celica

Is it because of the tape or do you guys just not like lips?
Cause it's not gonna have those white tape things if I go with it. (Which is why I said to pretend that it wasn't there.)
Tape obviously makes it too ghetto/ricey. :barf

Only reason I'm considering a lip is so that when I do slam my car, the frame wouldn't be as low as it would be w/o the lip. (since the car would seem lower with the lip if you know what I mean) Car wouldn't scrape as badly, and the $10 lip would protect the OEM lip. :mrgreen

    Re: (To be) Stanced Celica

dont like the lip itself, my car tucks tyre and the only thing i scrape is the front, but thats plastic anywayz so its not an issue

    Re: (To be) Stanced Celica

The rear doesn't look bad. But if you really do it right and make it look factory with all the exact measurements it would look good. If somehow you made the front valance look smooth with rubber thing it'd look nice

    Re: (To be) Stanced Celica

I think I'll probably just put it on the rear for now, and leave the front as is, since the rear one actually fit on pretty nicely. I think it would look almost OEM if I went and stuck it on right.

I think I'll wait on cliffmeister's side shots of his car before I decide whether I want the front lip or not.
Not sure if slamming on 15's would be too low for the front or not. (As in, would the extra lip be sitting on the ground after slamming.)

    Re: (To be) Stanced Celica

Without having to see (or in my case "show") sideshots of my car, I'll tell you from experience that 95% of the time, my stock lip scrapes going up or down regular, not to steep driveways.

I think it's because of our car's design. I've noticed from comparing to other cars, our wheels are farther back from our outermost front part of the car. Or our wheels and suspension are farther back compared to other cars.

I've also noticed that on other cars, the wheelbase is longer and are closer relative to the distance between the farthest part of the front and rear bumpers.

    I hope that made sense.

    Re: (To be) Stanced Celica

Plus our cars already scrape the floor at times. Well for me at least. I have to drive slower where other cars have no problem. Yup the bigger the nose at the front the less it will have a good clearance. But man, look at the Enzo Ferrari and Lamborghinis, I think they have way worse than us. And yeah the rear looks real good with those rubber things. If you want lowered some hydraulics would work. Lower it when you want, lift it when running over ditches and speed bumps lol. Kinda pricey though. Though I like you idea. Just gotta drive slower and at an angle when going on driveways and bumps. Gotta make some sacrifices lol

    First thing I thought of:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wFn87xxnOjw
lol you can scrape on speedbumps with pretty much any car. Heck, I've scraped my mom's (obviously stock) Civic Hybrid on a few speedbumps before. :shock

When I mentioned that my car might be too low, I meant if any part of my car would actually be sitting on the ground or not. (Cause obviously, you don't wanna be dragging any part of your car on the asphalt...) I already know that my car would scrape the driveway. (I park my car on the street, so no driveway scraping worries, and I usually don't encounter speed bumps on my commutes)

Notice in my photoshopped picture that I have the fender(s) barely touching the edge of the rim(s). I would like to go all the way and lower my car to that point.
    Another Point of View:
My only problem is whether the fender will get to the edge of the wheel before any part of my car hits the ground. (I hope that made sense. lol) That's why I wanted a side shot of cliffmeister's car.

I've thought of getting airbags for my car, but I don't have enough money for them... (Or at least I don't think I do. Please show me if you can find some for <= $1K)

Thanks for all the ideas and comments guys. I really appreciate them! :mrgreen
