Suspension and wheel/tire upgrade!! Update time!! Soooo it's been some time since I posted up any upgrades and changes that I have undergone. The main concentration was improved suspension and wider wheels and tires. I did manage to get my exhaust custom made with 2.5 in. mandrel bent exhaust with Vibrant performance stealth muffler. I also removed the Sard air filter to the air box set up with a TRD Japan drop in filter. Oil remain Eneos 5W-30 with TRD Japan Oil Filter. Next on my list would be upgrading front brakes with st185 calipers and discs as well as lightening the interior with new bucket seat from Corbeau since they offer brackets to match. carpet will be replace in the front section of the car but not the back since it was removed and not needed. Now on to the pics....Enjoy!! I managed to find these beautiful white Speedline Pero-Rs on BidJDM.com. They are 16x7, Offset +35 5x100. I also managed to order from Ceika coilovers for the 87 Celica. Took a couple months but I understood that this is custom work. Each were individually packaged and powder coated black and silver. Great Quality. Spring Rate 6kg front and rear. Thanks again Cedric (MXP_57) for the tips on spring rate. Here are some photos of them during the install.....<br> ...and when they are fully installed and adjusted<br> I also managed to get my tires. Grip will be through the roof. They are Bridgestones RE-11s 205-45-R16s. Looks and works well with the wheel size. Managed to use ARP extended lug bolts to withstand the wheel width WITHOUT spacers. All was held down by Gunmetal Kics Leggdura Racing lug nuts. And to finishing off the look I managed to cop 4 red Speedline center caps. With all that, this is the end result......and why not add the JAF sticker for some flare XD Hopefully I get the next group of upgrades going so I can post up progress sooner. Let me know if you got any questions about what I've done.
wow looks really i wasn't sure about the wheels till i saw them on da car and dam they look good especially with the red.
Thanks. You can get a quote on the coilovers on their website. Thanks, it managed to come out really good. Yea I got both front and rear strut bars from Cusco. I believe the rear one is for the st165. Thank You. shipping prices are what gets you, but the starting price of used parts are stupid cheap. Thanks man . I always like this color scheme of red base with white wheels. classic TTE colors from the Late 80s and early 90s. Plus the wheels give it that rallyish look. I managed to double check how it would look with these pics of the corona gtr and the gt-four with them on. http://www.f2.dion.ne.jp/~initialt/st162.htm http://www.f2.dion.ne.jp/~initialt/ST165.htm hahaha:lachtot thanks man...upgrades will be coming soon with the 185 front brakes and bucket seats/interior.
