im considering a turbo block but i just want to see is it worth while for a N/a motor first, there might be no need...

ya! it is, but i have a spare N/A block! i think i might have sourced a turbo block aswell! but ill have to see, thats the only reason i want oil squirters, just to have more reliablility,

turbo block has better oil passeges also and better pump, but will a N/a crank work in a turbo block?

    No need of oil squirters.
Properly maintained, a GE is virtually indestructible under normal use conditions.
Save your money on the block and give a good prep to your cylinder head, you'll get a reliable engine.

Re: seank90, New steering rack!!! At last roadholding!

so today i decided to do a little bit of stripping on my parts car! i started off by taking out the dash. I now have a perfect dash with no bubbling! lucky me,

i then removed the steel support bar which runs across the car to make it easier for me to remove the heater unit, the headter unit is removed by firstly removing the centre box of the unit. this is done by taking out 4 screws. 2 on top and 2 on bottom.

i then went and removed the fan box. there was signs of rust inside the fam box so im going to over haul this unit and redo all the seals so when i tackle my own celica i wont have to worry about the heater unit. ill just have to put in this unit. ill also be doing all the seals on the dash for handyness sake!
the fan bot is removed by taking out the two screws on the bottom of the box first and then the two at the top, the connections on the back also have to be disconnected.

On the centre unit which holds the heater rad you need to remove the two screws holding it on the bottom near the gearstick and then also on the top of the unit. you nust then go and disconnect the water pipes going into the car. this will allow the box to pull out. once you have pulled out the box you can now disconnect the wires which allow adjustments. these can be found by tracing them back from the control unit.

and thats how to remove the heater unit in short.

i also toke the manual folding mirrors off the car because there in great nick!

More stripping to come in time! :D
