I got the fender on today! yay!! haha...it's been so long since this car looked driveable....and I got front grilled replaced....

The model years 86-87 88-89 obviously have different fronts, I was hoping they'd just bolt up but some modification was neccessary....but I got it eventually....next is the gas line!

 

Ok got the thing running...had to re-route some vacuum hoses, but after that the check engine light came on...I traced it to an oxygen sensor code 21.... Just replaced the sensor when I put the engine in...so i swapped the ECU's, and now she run's good!

Here's the other side...it's almost done.... I'm just gonna rubberize-rocker guard the whole bottom under the mouldings...then I don't have to worry too much about being perfect.....

here's the ugly red interior! it'd be nicer if it wasn't so faded....but the car's dark on the inside cuz of the tinted windows so it's hard to tell..heh

 

yay...got an alignment done today after getting the driver's side inner and outer tie-rods changed....car drives super! still need a wheel bearing...but that should be it!

woo hoo my niteshades came today...I've already got my taillights out, shaved, and am in the process of sanding them!

I think I'll go two coats cuz I don't feel like gettin hassled by the man!

 

So I put 5 coats on.....hah..it's still not THAT dark...I love it though

 

Now I need to paint my headlight cover's black...they look silly gray..

yeah....that back paint was done by the kid that had this car before me....he decided to use black spray paint instead of actually painting and clear coating over his little fiberglass job....

And I just got my 50 red LED's in the mail...haahahh......oh the wife is going to kill me.....
