Thanks guys :) We want to make some sunset pics too soon, that's something I wished for a long time now.

Now, I'm sure I'm not the only one who's having problems with rust on the windshield lower moulding. I have changed mine once already, but the current one is starting to look like crap again. Luckily I've found a third one among my spares, that had only one bigger rusty spot, and some smaller ones around it. So the quest for "renewing" it was started :) (about two weeks ago, when I ordered some chemicals for the job)

First, I sanded down the rusty part as I could:

Removed the rubber from the back, and sanded there too:

Then I applied rust converter (got the idea from seank90, thanks buddy! :) ):

Then came the filler and sanding to smooth out uneven places:

Re-glued the rubber and masked out before paint:

    After painted and dried:

It's not perfect, but not bad from an amateur I think :) The filler job was my first try ever. I hope it will last.
I'll swap it at the weekend and will post pics comparing it to the current one, there will be a big differences for sure.

    Thanks :)

Seank90: Good stuff, left no rust but a black surface.

I bought a pair of new axles and a remanufactured steering rack, they are already at a hungarian company in the US who will bring them home in a container, expected arrival is early october. Shipping to them was free from both sellers, so it's very eco, can't wait to have them :)

I also ordered one of these, it will be my birthday present from my brother :) :

I knew someone will notice :D
I was out of plasti dip, and simple black paint did the job well too.

    Updates:

    - Got my spare rear license plate holder sprayed and installed with a new license plate "bracket" (or how you call it), no picture yet
    - Finally found a guy who will renew my seats, I'm going to take the front seats to him on next monday. Will see how it looks like, I'll maybe give him the rears too, to make it consistent :)
    - Registered for my first track day, it will be held on 14. October, on the Slovakiaring not far from me, very excited about that :) Still have some stuff to do until then.

Some stuff I gathered to be installed / reinstalled:
    - Eibach Pro springs
    - Camber cams for the front (thanks again Stig!)
    - Camber bolts for the rear
    - Dust covers and bump stops for the rear
    - Alloy PS pulley

    - CV axles and steering rack are still on the way, expected to arrive just in time, but if there won't be enough time to install them before the track day, I'll go anyways.

nice upgrade ! How much on the seats if I may ask...

The man said it will be around EUR70 for the front seats (including repair / change of foams).
A very good price, that's the other reason I considered giving him the rears as well (and maybe also ask him to make a new trunk mat :D)

hey when you get there, would you mind putting up a pic of how those bolts work with the rears?

70 euro is cheap ! Maybe he could save the patterns and make them in production for all of us for such a price !! As covers you can change yourself I mean !!

Sure, what do you wish to see? I can try them in my spare strut for a pic.

I'll ask him, but the reason of this price is that he makes it after work in his free time, and works from leftover materials, has quite few to chose from, and there is no garantee he will have the same materials next time.

how they work with the strut/hub and how it adjusts

This figure explains it quite well:

The bolt is eccentric, and as you turn it around, it closes / moves away the holes of the hub and strut.
