We should! Just did the cruise control delete. Much more sensitive throttle response.

ive been meaning to do the delete myself.......went to go do it and couldnt figure how to get the cable away from the firewall....but i also didnt try very hard...lol

Oh its really easy. Take the cable that goes across the exhaust manifold heat shield that connects to the cruise control and unhook it then pull it until it passes the air intake tube then wrap it around the intake manifold and then to the throttle. Make sure you also plug up the vacuum connector on the back of the intake manifold.

On a side note, I still have a massive oil leak I need to fix. I leak nearly a quart every 80 miles or so but I can't find where the leak is coming from. I hosed down the engine and cleaned it good with Simple Green. Then I turned car on after a few hours of drying and for the life of me could not figure out where the engine leak was coming from. I checked around the timing cover, oil pan, valve cover from underneath the engine. Nothing. I removed the passenger steering wheel and placed several paper towers from the backside of the engine and nothing. I see oil splashed along the underside of the intake manifold...thats about it.

From what I can tell it runs down the center beam and drips down here.

And the resulting puddle after a short drive...

The oil that is still dripping off the bottom seems to be pretty clear.

Check your cam gaskets, distributor for leaks
If not, it's the crank seal gone hard.

Try adding seal restorer to the oil, takes a while but has cured many seal leaks

Any brand recommendations? I have a bottle of CD-2 stop leak sitting here infront of me I've had for a month or so.

Cam seal was replaced with a new seal when I did the timing bet replacement two months ago. Dist cap was changed during tune up and I found no oil in there two weeks ago. I've been leaking for at least a month now.

My distributor has had some oil in it too. Oil is also dripping onto my steering rack. So my leak is somewhere there, near the firewall. It's just a slight oil leak, probably 2 teaspoons of oil every week or 2.

just noticed how your throttle cable doesnt stretch out across the entire engine bay like mine. i go have an st though. so i had no cruise control to begin with...

It used to stretch out. I just took the bracket and wrapped it behind the intake manifold.

So heres an update. I picked up some GTS seats from the yard today, great condition. No tears and stains came out easily.

Heres my interior as it is now...

Out comes the seats, center console, etc. Going to be repainted black for a more stock look and match the seats.

Picked up some new driver side door stuff, so that must come off too. Going to redo the material on the driver and passenger side doors with something better. Maybe suede.

Some bad cell phone pics of the gts seats installed.

New shifter. Broke my original one during the seat installation by tearing the shifter apart with the seat rails. Bought a replacement at autozone until I can find something better.

Painted the center gloss black and the little coin holders primer gray.

Replaced the o2 sensor and still getting code 26, air/fuel ratio rich malfuction. Any suggestions?

Looks so good. I love the all black theme. I'm going for this look as well except with custom tailored leather seats lol. Very nice though. The interior is simple, very sporty, and a perfect representation of a gem of a car of the 80's.

seats look great! looks like you went through the trouble of swapping out the brackets like i did! =] dont forget to go back and get the back seats too. it really completes the look.

and you didnt get the lumbar button!!! you definitely need that one. trust me.

Actually I didn't swap out the brackets. They bolted right in no problem and the seats move just fine.

And yes I know I forgot the lumbar button. Going back tomorrow for it!

Update: New wheels, new pod filter.

Spectre cheap pod filter. Had some store credit so I used it on these. Has a nice whurrrrr sound to it. Old air filter was dirty anyway.

Motegi Racing 17x7. Feels nice but now I think I need it a bit lower.

Small update here. I've noticed I have a pretty nasty exhaust leak and I also need to take a look at the cat so I pulled both off today.

    [IMG] Manifold and cat off.

[IMG] The cat. I'm not sure how to judge a cat but that doesn't look good.

    [IMG] Bad exhaust leak.

So I've been looking around for a replacement cat and the shops want excess of $600 just for the cat itself! Crazy. One shop suggested I gut the cat below the manifold and just have the rear cat replaced and that should pass emissions. Anyone else in California care to chime in on that suggestion?

It's cool that your in the area where I live. Didn't know anyone that works on the 162 in the area except kevin (kevinkyang) but he's in San Jose. As for the cat i think it looks fine. Probably its best to order the gasket from o'reilly.

Also I wanna know which yard you went to find those beautiful seats. I have them already in gray but to find them in that condition is incredible.

I like how your celi is coming out. Keep it up bro!
