So after a few months of scouring the forums, reading posts, and learning much in the process I finally have something to post. Its been a long cruel learning experience for me but since then I think I have grown to appreciate cars much more than I have before.

Here she is as of today.

Things I have done to her so far:

    Head gasket job.
    Front passenger CV joint
Removed rear decals (falling apart) Replaced with small celica emblem
Repainted dash instrument panel white, changed to red LEDs.
Fixed driver door window buttons (PITA)
    painted interior white
    mounted footwell lights and switch
removed, bondo'd, repainted, added mesh to front lip.

Otherwise she is coming along nicely. Still has a few issues..

Starter issue. Going to do the fix soon.
Odd rumble when braking. Need new rotors.
    Ticking sound from underneath camcover.
Need new tires. Still stock 13"
    Needs new paint.

    Needs new everything :sad5

Thanks guys! I contacted him regarding the decals. Hopefully I will be able to swing that this friday. I get my bonus then so I'll be doing a lot of work. The noise continues to get worse as I brake so I'm looking into doing a complete brake overhaul. Any recommendations on that? Going to be doing some interior work this weekend as well so I'll be posting up pictures of that soon. The main goal of this project is a reliable fun daily driver. Besides, how fun would an automatic race car be anyway? I'll be on the lookout for a ST165 on craigslist for that :twisted .

Nifty. How did you do that? Did you relocate the overdrive button? I just leave OD on all the time anyway so I guess I could wire it to set permenantly.

Maybe without the boot but I really like the shifter look. Is that the Matrix brand one? Anyway a little update.

I received my bonus today so I'll be heading out to O'Reiley's tomorrow to pick up some new parts. Things I need:

New starter. I get flywheel grinding sometimes when I try to start the car.

New brakes/rotors. I can hear grinding/rumbling from the front passanger side when braking pretty badly. Need some recommendation on these as far as brands go.

New cap/rotor/ignition coil. Due for a change.

Fix oil leak coming from somewhere...

Pictures will be taken this weekend during the progress.

its not your starter so dont buy a new one. i still cant figure it out....ive been through like 6 starters and they all were good on the bench.

also yes i just cut the wire and then re hooked it up and its sitting under the center console loose.

and about it wanta bee a stick comment..

duh i have like 84k on this motor and tranny why would i make it a stick just yet.....illl wait till i blow it up then when i do the swap to turbo, ill do the swap to manual at the same time.

your trannys gonna take at least 100k more miles for it to die, and it'll probably be a $40 part to get it running for another 50k LOL.

for the starter, it's the solenoid. on the inside there's a magnet that pulls the whole assembly to make the gear pop out, and when i pulled mine out, it was all rough. sanded it down and cleaned all the contacts and i get that grinding noise once every 2 weeks.

if you do go ahead and get the new starter, make sure you get the 94-99 celica (5sfe) or 90's camry v6s (1mzfe), it's stronger.

I don't care about a swap or anything I'm just saying it looks funny, just leave the normal auto shifter on my integra is auto an i think it looks just fine even kinda feels better when I do down shift it.
