My 1987 celica (Iceland) LOTS of pictures

I haven´t had time to do any work on the car for some time now but I´m hoping to install the coilovers this weekend,
so I can see how the weels are going to line up with the fenders and how mucth cutting will be needed,
then I can see were to mount the flares and get them painted.
the plan is to have everything ready in the spring.

 

Well, I finally got some work done yesterday.
we started mesuring out where the flares had to be mounted last week but decided that we had to install the coilovers first so we would se exactly how it was going to look.
I also bought a new gear shift knob.
last night I replaced the knob and installed the coilovers.

Next job on the list is to start cutting and mount the fender flares.
I´m really looking forvard to do that.

haha yeah maybe not quit legit but it looks better than the glass knob i had before.

A little update.
I took the rear spoiler of to have it fixed and painted with the flares and I also did a little work on the front fenders so I could drive the car cause the tires were rubbing the fenders when I turned the steering wheel after I lowered it.

And now everything was ready for paint and I was pretty happy with how it was going.
We rolled the front fenders a bit so I could drive it until we would start cutting the fenders. and I realized that I have to watch out when I park near a sidewalk.
It´s a little lower now than I´m use to


Then this happened. I work at a movie theater during weekends and when I finished working 3 weeks ago I found the car like this.


some idiot had broken my window and like everything else I need for this car, this window isn´t manufactured anymore so I am trying to find a used window on ebay.
Not to happy about that.

I found a guy who can ship a used window for me from california for a small amount so I´m hoping it will be here in one piece.

I think it was just someone with a need to destroy others property.

 

Been working on getting a window for the car but it hasn´t gone well. got a window last week but it was a window for the coupe so it didnt fit. I´m expecting to get a window that fits later this week so I´m hoping nothing will go wrong. It´s been 2 moths now since it got broken, so I really want to drive my car.

But I´ve got some work done on it. I had the rear spoiler and the hood fixed and painted with the fenderflares and I took the other window out to fix a little leak. and I did some work on the brakes.

I rebuilt the brake calipers and painted them. Everyone paints their calipers red or yellow, so I wanted to try something else to be different.

Now I just need the window and cut the fenders so I can put the flares on.
If everything works out right, the car will be on a local carshow in next month, so I hoping nothing will go wrong.
