I'd settle for non heated/manual folding LHD Euro mirrors, but I'd bet those aren't going to be easy to find. I'd be tempted to keep the USDM set and convert to heated mirrors if that's even possible. The GT-S has heated mirrors, it was a nice option to have this winter. I don't know, we'll see.

Since our spoiler vinyl discussion was lost, we'll have to catch back up on that when time permits. :cheers

    Holy s.... , I'm paying $180 - per Bridgestone MY01 205/50/16!, 45's are over $200ea and that's wholesale

All you need to do is shim the JDM mirrors somehow, either spacers or grind down the base?

Redrocket01 has converted some JDM mirrors to heated lenses, said it was easy

    Re: eNtrax's 162 GT (3s-fe, Auto)

i put some spacers on the front bolt of the passenger side one, and fold it in a bit. not the priority atm. working on finding a front mount so i can finally shift from P/N to drive without shattering my back. Back ordered for $60. which is cheaper than US online shops + shipping + me driving down to pick it up/getting it shipped across the border.

2-6 weeks. at first they said they didn't have it. checked the paper catalogue and he said there was only 88-89 turbo 4wd mounts...with an auto tranny. :banghead so i looked at this "automatic tranny version" and it was actually the one for the FE.

89celica, all i'd need is a "GT" sticker that would go where it says "turbo 4wd". and stig holy shit that's more expensive than brand new! my 4 tires of 185/70/13 actually cost $185 for all 4!

I'm a wrecking yard guy... I buy used tires all the time :hehe . I got a used tire shop that just opened up about a mile away from me, and I've already rubbed the good side of the owners  . Damn, I couldn't afford the first set of 18's for the Supra if they were new.... :ack2

    Re: eNtrax's 162 GT (3s-fe, Auto)

would i be okay if i cheaped out on tires for now and just get 205/45 for the rears? use the 2 205/50's up front.

also since i've ordered my front engine mount, i want to prepare myself for it. I have never done any motor work, or anything that involves having the risk of dropping the engine. does anyone have a diagram/picture of the underside of a FE auto? i kind of remember what it looks like, two crossmembers, front and rear mounts bolt on to the one crossmember, plastic covers in between. planning to support the engine from the bottom with a jack but how would i take off the crossmember if i do that? asides from that, no air tools so i'm planning to use the canadian torque wrench.

the side mounts will hold the motor...and use a jack with a 2x4 on it under the motor to help brace it........i dont have any under front side views available right now.

^Yes, just make sure you have enough timber to spread the load evenly.
The other low-buck option, if you don't have an engine support, is to nail a couple of 2 x 4s together and place them across the top of the strut towers. Then use some thick eye bolts and chains to the engine support hooks.
    *And always observe safety!

    Re: eNtrax's 162 GT (3s-fe, Auto)

Some of the US sites show it for $50, but the cheapest I can currently find it in the GVRD is $100 @ Princess Auto. Add 12% Tax and you're already at $112 :sad I don't feel like spending that on something I'll only use once or twice, so I'm gonna attempt to make my own.

    Re: eNtrax's 162 GT (3s-fe, Auto)

well if im just doing this one thing, might as well use the opportunity to get a hydraulic jack...i don't have that yet lol. although i might do some sort of wooden 4x4 across the top just in case too. hey for the power steering, sometime in late april? hopefully by then it'll be warm weather. i've just been too lazy to do it, esp when it doesn't bug me to drive without it, but i'm planning a few trips for myself and friends in the summer, might prove to be useful.

    Re: eNtrax's 162 GT (3s-fe, Auto)

fyi, on the ge motor you can remove the mount w/o pulling any crossmembers. 1 bolt holding it to the motor mount (attached to the motor), 2 bolts holding the mount to the cross member remove the plastic cap directly under the mount and theres 2 nuts.
-no need for big breaker bars, hockey sticks, or hoists. all should come apart fairly easily. you will only need a bar or something to wiggle the motor a bit to pull the bolt out. dont worry nothing will drop.

-i just installed the motor and tranny hanging off only the p.s. mount. youll have 3 youll be fine.-ill post pics in my thread later.

Jwanger, can you remove both cross members and the engine will stay supported by the 2 side motor mounts?

The BGB shows this as the way in their oil pan removal process, but I wanted to hear from someone who's actually done it safely. Kinda freaks me out to be under the engine with it only held up by the 2 side mounts.... :ugh

    Re: eNtrax's 162 GT (3s-fe, Auto)

-yes. very secure like that. it will allow the engine to rock if movement is needed. no worries at all ive done it quite a few times. like i said i just had the bottom end and tranny hanging from the right mount only, as i mated the box to the block alone. that was with no jack or anything underneath. all of it hung just fine even with all that leverage.
-it would seem to me that the 2 sides are the main load bearing mounts. since the front mount is slotted and you dont have to use a jack to put the crossmember in place, i think it just holds the engine in place.
