    I'd describe it more 'bogan-ish' than 'rural-ish' :ack2
I'm in Booval, near Ipswich. Quite a comfortable difference from the Valley, actually

I've already got my shirt snagged on the hinges countless times. You see that blue rag hanging there? I used to wear that :roll

The road base idea is a pretty good one. I was going to get a couple of tarps for the ground and roof, I'm sick of getting bitten by those little fucking black ants when I'm working under the car! I don't think the owner would even have a problem with me concreting the space inside the garage-ish. Maybe I'll just knock it down and build a nice big one :D

Having a sig is great, but I feel weird now not signing my posts

Your a Bogan so you should fit in just sweet........... what, what, what's that I hear, settle now :lol

I don't know why but I damn near said Ipswich but I'd be happy to have a bit of property like yours.

My property owner is the same, he does'nt care if I improve my place, I mean who would as long as it's done properly. That garage is definately not wide or long enough and will always be a pain in the ass if you don't do something.

I have seen many occassions where people have built/rebuilt/extended a half decent garage on a rental place.

If it's worth it and depending on how long you intend to stay there you could (if you're half handy with building stuff) widen and lengthen the garage but yes, starting from scratch is the go, there are plenty of places around that sell second hand buiding material.

If I'm a bogan I'm at a loss for a word to describe the people next door yelling at their kids, throwing bikes around and ripping up the grass in their fullysik commy :smilielol5

Having the space is great, but it'd be even better if the garage filled up that space a little more! If I had the money I'd be right on it, but a couple of tarps and pallets should do for now. I'll be looking to drop my gearbox out very soon for repairs. Rebuilding and fixing everything else might have to wait, we need the car now :byodood

    Thanks :D
The bloody fuel filter! You can tell the engineers for Toyota aren't mechanics :p When I first looked at replacing it I thought, shit this will be interesting! Remove half of the right side of the engine bay to get to the damn thing lol

Yes the fuel filter lol. Tell me about it, I bent the fuel line when I tried removing it! Lesson learned!

Did you use 2 spanners on the bottom connection? Who the hell designed that! I have big decent spanners and there is so little room to get them in there, not to mention having to hold one up to it while positioning the second one.

    Bloody engineers :p

Yes I did. And had another person helping me to turn that thing another way while I turned it the opposite lol. I couldn't really move though haha Ridiculous lol.

So I just bought a TD04L Turbo for $80 and a dual stage boost controller for $14. Ebay FTW.
I had a huge adrenaline rush in the last 20 seconds of both auctions and started growling and making weird unworldly noises... I like a bargain?

Can't wait to get my GTE build started.

I got my gearbox fixed today :D

I bought a pair of jack stands in preparation for dropping the box out and ripping it apart, but as it turns out I actually fixed it last time I was farking around with it trying to figure out the problem. All I had to do was put the gearbox mount back in and reverse a little bit and it just popped right out of gear!
Of course there came the next problem, while trying to force the shifter out of gear I had pushed the selector arm too far towards 5th and bent it a bit and twisted it on the selector rod.

It was a bit of a saga getting the arm off of the rod. After about 2 hours of trying to get it off I realised that a flywheel hole is the perfect size to hold the selector arm for the purpose of bashing the rod out with a hammer and a long bolt :p

While I was putting the selector assy back in I realised that you can completely change the feel of your gear changes by adjusting the tensioner(?) bolt.

The only problem I have now is my 5th gear won't engage, I'm guessing 5th side of the selector fork for 5th/reverse is bent. That's a problem for another day, it doesn't really bother me that much, I'm just so happy to have my celi working again and have my freedom back :D

Nope, no photos unfortunately. It's a shame because seeing the actual shifter assembly gives you a really good idea of how the gearbox actually works! I learned a lot just from pulling the thing out and fixing it.

I also learned the reason why my shifter feels like it hits something before it shifts into the top set of gears ( 1st, 2rd, 5th ) is because there is an expanding pin that is a poofteenth too big holding the middle shifting knob to the rod that just slightly grazes another part of the shifter assy. You can feel the tiniest little grazes and bumps of everything in the assembly through the gear stick!
