Its about time for an update
i swapped a blacktop ecu (its map/iat based instead of afm) and adapter harness in. It sounds much more agressive now:D. got my st185 discs machined and put in new brake pads. I finally have a working heater, I used braided stainless steel hoses that I cut to the proper length
I installed those autopal h6054, I plan in the future to retrofit some morimoto mini d2s hid projectors
Changed the cluster to blue leds
ordered xxr 002 16x8" et0 wheels on BFG KDW 225/45ZR16
I plan to roll and pull the fenders to fit the wheels
started rust repair I got my quarter panel patch panels from fixmyrust.com
    pictures to follow shortly

Thanks sean. I finally finished my partial tuck, I tucked the wires the went to the positive battery terminal and the fusebox through the fender. Made a new bracket for my coil/igniter to go underneath the itbs that way I was able to tuck the wires for the igniter/coil, map and intake air temp sensor underneath the intake manifold. I finally have a working heater for the first time since I got the 20v swapped in. Since the fourth gen has the heater core in a different location then an ae101/ae111 levin I had to make heater hoses and im pleased with the result. I got some universal braided stainless steel heater lines and cut them to right fit, all I have left to finish them off is to get some earls Anodized hose brackets

I started my car for the first time since the engine bay clean up and its running super rich and idles rough. At this point i still think that it could be the intake manifold gasket leaking or a bad map sensor.

i'd guess vacuum leak somewhere. PITA to find on that intake setup.

Sounds silly but seal it up and blow some smoke into the intake, the smoke should leak out where there is a leak.

Mafix: you basically have to pull the intake manifold to get access to all the vacuum lines, it wouldn't hurt to replace all the intake manifold gaskets either. The intake manifold is a 10mm spacer with two sheets of metal on either side
spyder: I haven't tried a smoke test yet, thats a good idea though. I didn't think of that.

most people wouldnt think of that as it is an old trick, but most old tricks still work people just simply have forgotten how to do them. If you do end up pulling your intake and replacing your gaskets and lines then you might as well replace your seals on your injectors while your at it as they can crack and cause a air leak at the head. Ive had it happen before where a injector didnt seat quite right and was sucking a ton of air through a tiny gap.

we do it all the time at work. we use EVAP smokers on a vacuum line. works very well.

problem solved, I had my map sensor hooked up in the wrong vacuum line, so i changed it to the common vacuum feed underneath the throttle bodies

    1994 toyota levin gt-apex. (ae101 silvertop)
I'm also using the c56 5-speed transmission at the moment, But I would like to use an mr-s 6-speed. The shift cables are in the back of the transmission like the c56 and the mr-s significantly stronger then the c160 that came in the levin bz-r. I will have to swap the bell housing from the c56 and get axles made (splines are different) if I do end up swapping one in.
