I had a look at the fiberglass one. I was told it would bow In the Australian weather. So I went with the standard metal one. Have a look at Jap Heaven.

Found another problem. When stationary at lights and the car is running, a very fumey smell emits.
I looked under the car and found this

    Oil filter or dipstick leaking?

    Mine usually break here-

I am not too sure, I'll have to have a look tomorrow. No oil is ever leaked onto where I am parked so I am leaning towards the oil filter.

And yes mine broke like that, pipe fell into the muffler. Had piping replaced and had a new muffler installed yesterday

Thats a nice white lightning you have man.did you buy sideskirts from me late last year by any chance?
Unfortunate about the exhaust. But this might be an ideal time to buy a 3inch dumpy pipe heheh.
Keep the updates coming though and hopefully catch you on the road sometime

Yes that was me! Haha, Still got them , Plan to put them on sometime after driving on my P plates for a bit and also getting my suspension replaced since it bottoms out and scrapes on almost anything..

Now leaking onto the floor, I suspect a bad gasket.
New springs and shocks some time next week, Repair the leak.
Think I am just gonna o with standard height springs.. I much prefer the look of a lowered suspension but with how it scrapes now I don't think I can afford to... D:

With new low springs, new shocks and poly bushes up front, my car is only a little lower than it was before with sagging springs and dying shocks, and it doesn't bottom out on standard curbs
If you do go low, find out if you can test then exchange them if they're too low... might not be cost effective for labour but better than being stuck with them :p

New exhaust fitted with a silenced muffler on the back, Sounds really good!!
The leak was my oil filter, fitting it tomorrow. Removing all leaked oil as well!
And new shocks soon, turns out my springs are fine, but my shocks are shot.
SO happy it hasn't broken my wallet like I thought.
No more fume smelling trips to uni!

usually it is blown struts that cause you to bottom out. there's a dip in the highway i used to bottom out at 80km/h with stock springs, but after lowering 40mm and new struts i don't bottom out at 200km/h+ at the same dip lol.

Considering selling this as it is costing me too much money to repair for what I can afford
    It's a 1989 WhiteLightning , Manual, 209,xxx on the odometer.
Clutch was replaced about 1,500km's ago
Would be sold with reg till april, coolant leak needs to be fixed for RWC
Sunroof rust free, body is in very good condition.
