I dunno if you can feed a cable thru the sheath or not... STIG !!!!! :hehe If I remember correctly, it is still the mechanical type speedo cable... should be able to use any spare from a junkyard.... :thumbsup:

Re: eNtrax's 162 GT (FE/AT): digi dash in progress Dunno what you mean? I had a cable not working once because it came out of the green cable holder and wouldn't go back in properly. (cable was too deep) I think you got to look closely at the cable holder and get the cable to sit out properly. From memory there was an o-ring or washer inside that moved and the green part wasn't going all the way in? The green part is spring loaded and can get stuck sometimes which stops the cable from engaging properly The white outer holder has 2 tabs you gotta squeeze and then pull it forward to work on the green spring loaded part Unclip it like in the bottom pic, see if the green section is moving properly. From memory the cable doesn't come out but you can unclip the green cup and fix what's stopping it or move the o-ring back on the cable

Opel/Vauxhall Kadett GSI 2.0 had the same option and a similar (identical?) display My post completed You broke the cable? or did it move back into the holder? pics? I think you just pushed the cable into the sheath like I did

Re: eNtrax's 162 GT (FE/AT): digi dash in progress Well then you got to replace the upper cable Good time to take the whole thing out (inc drive gear) and lube it properly. Try unscrewing the cable and see if the cable pulls out from the gearbox end Cable is in two pieces but you may have to pull it out the box if the connector is rusted This pic shows the bottom section of the cable

Re: eNtrax's 162 GT (FE/AT): digi dash in progress Lucky, some are hard to seperate Did the cable pull out from the bottom? Check/lube the lower section as well, the section that drives the cable is bound to be rusted What colour is the speedo drive gear?
Re: eNtrax's 162 GT (FE/AT): digi dash working! i didn't bother bother to touch the bottom portion because if it broke due to rust or whatever there would've been no replacement as the yard cut them all of the yard celi's. the yard had the top portion undamaged though, and i took it off the celica i got the dash from. all is good now and everything works! as for a gear, couldn't see it as i didn't touch the bottom portion. thanks stig!

So you want me to measure the resistance over the fuel sender when the petrol tank is full and empty right? How do I do this?
