Hey guys Names Tyson. As my first car I bought an 1989 White Lightning Celica. I get my L's Jan next year. You might think why buy a car now if there is 6 or so months before your learners. Well I wanted to do it up a bit before I start Driving. It had a little a bit of rust. I picked the car up for $750 and it had 198,872kms. The sunroof has fairly bad rust and I haven't been able to get one that has been rust free. Need about $1000 worth of work to be roadworthy.
Anyway Here is What I have done

    Things done so far:

Blue Led Gear Shift Knob =] Gives me 5 HP
Sanded back rusted wipers and sprayed chrome
    Fixed Pillar rust
    Thoroughly Cleaned Car
    Got New Seat covers
    Blue Gear Boot
    Blue Instrumentation

    Future Plans
As for the Audio system, I have already got some 6.5" splits for the doors and a Pioneer Head Unit. Looking for a Decent set of 6x9 speakers.
I've got a 4" Cannon Muffler, will Install after I get it Roadworthy
30% Tint On all Windows and Darkest Possible Tint on the Back Window
Fix Front Bumper and Spray White, Spray those Plastic side skirts white, and the black bit below the back bumper will be sprayed white, and So will the mud flaps.
Ive got some 15" Rims that I'm going to get powder coated white.
    Cheapo Non Slip Pedals
    Blue Parker Lights
No interested in white line sway bars or anything like that as long As I can turn corner without sliding that's all that matters for me.

    Eventually:
Might Get Some Extractors( not allowed performance mods whilst on P plates)
    and a Cold Air Intake

Nice, I'm looking for close-up pics of the side graphix

It's a very rare model, the more you change it the less it's worth.

    Your front grille looks wrong?

basically color coded trims and wheels, The alltrac seats (very rare over here) and full electrics and aircon. And only a handful made (compared to how many normal 162s where sold). From memory it was sort of toyotas way of trying to go out with a bang and get rid of the ramaining 4th gens

    I know there are/were 2 (maybe more) in N.Z.

I notice ther'es a bunch of 162's being stripped in Melbourne, time to grab all
    those bits you need

I'd like to see more detail pics of the interior etc as well

No such thing as a rust free sunroof, unless someone just had it fixed.

Take it off and get a quote (carefully unclip the grey interior trim and 4 bolts later it's out),
I suspect the ST182 sunroof is the same but haven't been able to confirm it yet, I do
have the 182 sunroof interior trim fitted no problem.

I'd like to make a replacement sunroof in smoked lexan - should be fairly easy provided
you can find the correct beading?

Ltd edition bikes & cars are always a good investment and worth more than their brothers.
Of the 300, I'd be surprised if 20 were still running.

I can't make out the side design, you need to take them a lot closer, overlapping
and at least 2x that size.
We can them put them back together and trace the design
