    Ouch, what happened?

It will be a lot of work to get it all straight and square again, but from the look of the bumper mounts the chassis rails didn't take the brunt of the impact so it might still be structurally ok. Do the doors and bootlid still open and close properly?

Just looking at the pics, it appears that most of the damage is above the bumper and to the right side. My brother-in-law runs a shop called Bodies By Bunn and has repaired much worse damage than this several times over. Find someone that most every car guy in your area recommends, but don't be shocked by the price tag, body repairs doesn't come cheap!

good news is that it missed the frame. the bad news is that it's a convertable. ANY slight bend in the frame and insurance will total it.
but i would fix it. you could do it with a ton of used stuff. not too hatefully bad. where do you live?

insurance will total that.....about 8k to fix in a shop.......i would fix but do you have the space and time?.......i would just part it and get another one.....

same thing happened to me quoted 8.5k to fix, i parted it out and bought another one in which i swapped in the motor....that one only had 51k on it at the time

the bad is yes you did miss the frame but you broke the welds on the core support.

I would say repair it as well with used parts ,there might be a small movement on that chassis leg it is exposed it was welded to the cradle before the crash and your inner tray is bent as well only way is to start removing the old damaged parts and take it from there. If it's insured then it be right off.

I would hate to see a vert go to the wreckers. I say fix it. However if you do part it out to buy another one hit me up....I may be interested in the vert seals and top!

I think I can get all the used parts for about $250 from the junkyard. Then I will need a new radiator and AC condensor too.

I cannot check the passenger door because of fender sheet metal over the hinge. The driver door Is fine.

it was a very rainy day and there was a wreck ahead and the truck in front of me suddenly darted to the median grass and I had nowhere to go.

Where are you located? I've got a lot of the parts you need right here in my barn, even some vert parts you might not have!

Well your only about 6 hours away, if you give me a list of parts you need we could probebly meet somewhere in between. I'll be heading down near Columbia SC next month for a sportscar race and could haul some stuff down there for you! You'll need a small truck or trailer for the hood, fender/fenders, headlight buckets, grill, and such, but I've got it all just sitting here.

Ok, I've got the hood, fender, radiator reservoir, wswiper reservoir, and the 2 headlight supports, unfortunately I just sold the bumper cover and airdam this morning. I could probebly let the parts I do have go for $100, but would rather not ship, so some sort of halfway meeting point might be arranged.

I have gone a different route .. I just purchased a project car for $300: a 1989 Celica Conv which has been sitting for a year. It is an automatic transmission with a blown engine .. but with my parts from the wreck I can put together a complete car. I will have to convert this chassis to 5 speed.
