i was just looking to see what the prices were and i noticed they only list for alltracs. is there actually any difference? http://www.twmperformance.com/shortshif ... ifters.htm cheers guys
I got the one from twm in my gt-s. Same one my brother in law has in his alltrac...so I don't think there's a difference.
Having just read the installation Manual i'm 99.9% certain that the shift levers are exactly the same.
does this mean that your buying one jester ? coz i sure am as my pay just went up about $80 a week coz i runed 2nd year also lone wolf have you got an interior shot that shows how tall the shifter is? if so could you post it up? cheers
Put simply, That is just downright sexy. Rev_Head, yes i am most definately getting one, when is a different story as I have $2000 in dental bills to cover over the next 6 weeks. Ouch!
perfect, thanks heaps lone wolf jester nice im definately getting one, right after i get shox and sway bars lol. but thatl be soon as i kno get close to an extra $100 a week now and i should be recieving close to a grand from the government soon for apprenticeship bonus'
is that a true short shifter? the pivot ball would need to be longer, and wont fit in the stock base.
If interested here's the direct link to the Installation instruction manual. Seems fairly basic and compatible with the ST162 despite being made for the ST165. http://www.twmperformance.com/manuals/1 ... Manual.pdf
if done right, it will extend the throw, also reducing hand travel. this will give quicker more responsive shifts.
Guys, if its true 162 / 165 linkage is identical, than try and fit a ST185 RC one or if you can get it ST205. Straight bolt in, much shorter, better throw , much better feel. Stig may know if you can use gen 6 St202 ones??? I got my shifter for like peanuts so its a good buy if you can get em cheap on ebay etc.
Negative on the 202 housing - it's plastic & bolt pattern is different You may be able to swap out the lever?
Easy with some basic tools read this pdf file - http://www.twmperformance.com/manuals/1988-1989 Toyota Celica Alltrac Installation Manual.pdf You can print it out etc
