yeah, i just did my inlet manifold gaskets (inner and outer) and that goes there man :) belongs on the t-vis plate between the head and the intake i believe!

hows it all coming along? is that a short shifter or DIY?

One of the vacuum lines is wrong... Where you've got nothing connected, one of the lines directly to the left of it in the photo should go to it. I can't remember which lines connect to the VSV on the left though. (Vacuum switching valve I think it stands for). If I get a chance, I'll check out my gen 1 this week before I finish pulling it out.

as long as everything is clean and the intake is on you should be fine

is it true that the torque is 40 foot pounds?

    that seems really low lol

head is on, throttle linked, other tubes and lines connected, 2moro and friday afternoons : wiring :'(

    Day 18 :

fuck that wiring is a bitch so many clips and connections argh...

all injectors linked, alternator all connected, other intake clips, etc etc

such a bitch of a job

anyway all that done, showed mum the car she was impressed...lol

2moro after school: air flow senser + pod filter install, cam covers on, and find a harmonic balancer

then put on the timing belt + covers and im all sweet i guess!

make sure you dont tighten the intake manifold bolts too tight cause its soft metal and will strip the threads if you try and tighten them too hard!

lol the torque was only 14ftlbs IIRC but thanks for looking out anyway :D

now all i need is harmonic balancer SHIT lol

hey would the engine not be able to run simply because a clip might not be connected? not as in injector clips or anythign, but like a clip u cant see that i might have missed?

and sadly i learned that over tightening soft metal is bad lol

with my pulsation dampener in the fuel rail, the dampener had its thread cut for some reason ( i think my motors been rebuilt, or at least tempered with)
and when it started leaking i never realised i didnt haev a copper washer, and i just tightened it more, and the thread has stripped right out on the fuel rail

and im getting $1800 soon, minus $120 for parent loans,

this money is for getting the car on the road, and for my own things to spice up the car a little what hsould i buy?

(nothign big like bodykits or rims)

Get yourself some 2000 grit wet sandpaper and rub those scratches lightly for no more then 10 seconds....then get some rubbing compound like maguires diamond cut or something similar and buff the shit out of what you wet sanded, keep repeating the buffing and compound until all your sand marks are gone... It'll look brand new! :)
