a deck of playing cards does quite well if tucked around the edge of the rim to keep the paint off the tires
thats actually a really good idea, but I'm only gunna paint the gray bits of the rim so i wont need to paint the outside. do u think it really needs 5-6 coats? or would 3 good coats be good? although i guess its only like $10 per can so might as well make sure it lasts.
I didn't put on heavy coats, spray paint always stick's better in thin coats......after the first coat you could barely see the black paint....after the 6th it was perfect!
well this weekend i was really really busy so i didn't get a chance to order paint or anything like that but i was able to get a cup holder from allblackalltrac for free! i installed it but I'm not really sure that i did it right lol oh well it works and I'm not so sure its a direct fit anyways. but here are some pictures
That's what mine looks like....we're bothing missing the little piece that hangs down so cans can sit on it.... As long as you pile enough stuff down there it works though.... :d
oh and can someone take a picture of the hinge that the cup holder works on... like with it in the car and how the cup holder attaches to it. i think i installed it the wrong way. my arm rest doesn't close anymore is that just cause its in an 86??
could yall let me know if its worth it to rust proof my car? and how much that might cost to have done?
rust proof like oil spray the inside of the doors and 1/4's and stuff? or undersprayed? and yeah, in ontario it's probably worth it....if you don't have much rust as it is...
lol so today i went and opened my drivers door and felt a weird click. so i shut the door and tried to open it again... but that didn't so much work. so i think that something might have popped out of place on the outside handle but now i feel ghetto cauz i havta go through the passenger door, open the drivers door from the inside and then walk back around and get in by the drivers door lol. it sucks!!
haha ya so my door wasn't so easy to fix... my dad and i more or less took the whole door apart (including taking the glass out). turned out a small piece of plastic broke that holds the metal door cable to the outside handle and so the cable fell out. I got the piece from Toyota for free thanks to my grandpa and now my door works again! it only took like 6 hours to take apart and put back together... over 2 days. lol :S so not exactly as quick and easy as i was thinking it was going to be but its done so all is good. oh and i got new springs for xmas but i havn't decided if I'm gunna try and install them myself or if i'm just gunna take it to a shop. prob depends how much they will charge me but ya thats about all the recent news for my car right now.
on a list of things not to do ever, make sure you have never put 4 ppl in a celica plus luggage for two days at a cottage. it was a damn good thing we only had to stay like that for an hour since we met up with more ppl and another car. and i think that im gunna try to install my springs but thats not gunna happen until its not so cold out.
alright i've been pretty delayed on this but this was a couple weeks ago now, i met up with meph and snapped a few shots of our cars together. pretty rare sight when u think about it. hope you enjoy!
