Since we all work hard (Or try) to keep our cars as close to perfect as we can, we can't all have everything there is on the market to see if it's worth the money or effort to try. Post up your favorite products, or even your whole collection, to see what's what in the world of cleaners and polishes... Don't be shy, you may be using the one product on your paint, glass, wheels, tires, engine, carpet, etc. that one (or all) of us having been looking for !!!!!

This is a waterless wash, just spray and wipe with microfibre cloth. It really does work even on really dirty cars. You don't have to worry about scratches as the chemical lifts the dirt off trapping it in the cloth. Saves a lot of time, so I can concentrate on the polishing more :)

I have some waterless car wash also which I really like, it's a little pricey, but a little goes a long way.
Hey Steve, I have not seen the Meguires Tech Wax spray before, is that good stuff? Is it for a full wax job
or is it like a quick detail spray? Which wax do you guys think is the best out there? Oh yeah almost forgot Steve, don't set stuff on top of your car!! :hehe

You're right about the waterless wash.......a little goes a long way, and yes it is pricey. The Mequires Tech Wax is very good, easy to apply and wipe off. It can be used either way as a full wax or a quickie for shows.

I've never really experiemented much with different types of wax. My process over the years has always been,

Autoglym Super Resin Polish, followed by Autoglym Liquid Hardwax ( trade)or ( Extra Gloss Protection), which is a sealant that seals the polish in the bodywork giving it lots of protection that can last up to three months. You can see the sealant doing its job when it rains, all the bubbles are formed in a nice pattern and they all look exactly the same size, known as the "beady effect". :)

Here's an old photo of my "tools of mass crampage"...I've added and subtracted product, so I will update and review as the weather gets nicer, and I get my forearms conditioned for the rubbin' and scrubbin'... :hehe

Is the Mequires Tire Gel good ? I've always used a spray on stuff. I'm guessing the gel would be better, last longer, but a bit of a pain to apply ? :eek5

I had always used the gel before I recently got the spray and I have to
say that I prefer the spray. It is less messy, quicker to apply, and seems
to last for a good period of time. I used to hate applying the gel with
    the messy applicators.

Thanks Andrew, I'll probably stick with the easier spray, only ever use it at shows mainly.

Hey Rick, what was that wax called that you were raving about last year.
I think it started with a "c" , collanite insulator or something. Is that wax mainly for dark cars?

The link works for me, that's weird. Anyway, the wax is called CSI Q-7. It's a spray wax and is on polishandwax.com

Do you use wax on yours ?

Because I use a sealant, I felt a coat of wax might not make any difference.

I have used Meguiars cleaner wax on the car since I got it last October, I have only waxed it once though and
I am looking to wax it again and was thinking about using a clay bar on it first, but I have never used one before.
I would love some tips for a process to achieve maximum shine and protection, the paint is in beautiful shape on my car
and I keep it covered inside of a enclosure at all times.

since having to redo the clear coat on my car, i haven't been able to get the same shine out of it as the other untouched panels.
i did the sanding + wetsand up to 2000grit, then used meguiars scratchX to try to clean up the little scratches. what would be the next step for it?
