wheres your needles? It's looking sweet and from the pics on the first page it looks like how can change just how many k's your car has done ;) haha! what would you say the difficulty of this job is?

needles weren't mounted in the pics....they look ok I need to paint them white instead of the ugly yellow tho...

I'd say this is probably a 2/5 on the difficulty scale depending on how well you can solder and plan out the cutouts for the led's to go in..if you do it the same way I did...which worked well!

I tried replacing the signals with led's, but they didn't even try to come on...so I put bulbs back in and now they dont' work at all lol...I'll check the fuse and flasher or whatever in the mornin' but its too dark now!

Are the needles really just painted? I thought it was colored plastic.

    Lookin good

Lookin good I now understand how you were gonna do the red blue stuff would have been alot of work :D my instrument cluster has 4x5 leds behind it off superbrightleds.com i thought thats what you were gonna go with  you gonna do the rest of the car with leds? (like break lights blinkers ect?) would look sweet imo

    brake lights?

nah....prolly not...but who knows...I have tonnes of them now haha

they sent me resistor's for 12 v's but they were heating up when using just one so I stuck 2 of them in series and connected all my led's in parallel....seems to be working fine and they're not TOO bright so they'll be fine I think lol

more LED's would even out the brightness a bit more. looking good though, I'd make the needles clear but light up red, and like you said make the redzone red too.

There's not much room to play with under there underscore...that's why I canned my original Idea..haha..I thought I might be able to get it to work but it clearly wasn't going to....the needle's are clear so they'll light up whatever colour's behind them, I'm just going to paint the back of them white so it lights up even more

haha yeah I know it's pretty tight...though I know you can get pretty creative so who knows.

yeah, but I ran out of solder and got pissed off and put it all back together lol....I'll wait till another day to finish this one! But it looks decent in the car at night....

finished it all up and took some pics last night...I'll upload em later...I just stuck 3 red led's behind the redline...they're pretty overpowering over the blue so it worked out pretty decent!

That looks awesome! Great job! The red is a bit too bright though, is there a way to dim them just a wee bit?

The red looks brighter in the picture than it actually is....and I'm not taking the cluster out again so they're staying like that hahah
