Red/Blue led gauge mod

This is hopefully what it's going to look like when it's done...



I ordered some red and blue led's off ebay....I hope to mask off the blue part's with some black plastic hot glued onto the back or something....hah...It should work I have a plan

 

I duno I usually stare at the road not my gauges but I just wanted somethin a little more even with the lighting, plus a little bit different...the red bulbs I have in now don't really light up the bottom of the cluster very well...

Well my plan is to attach plastic pieces that contour just the blue parts, and kind of mask them off from whatever else is going to be lit up by the red led's....

If you don't understand because it's kinda hard to explain I can draw a picture of what I mean..... It should work but we'll see haha

blue led's came this mornin', still waiting on the red ones so I just went ahead with backlighting the whole thing blue

I still need to add a shitload more...but it's workin so far

I ended up sanding the back of the gauge face because it had some black fade on it to even out the old lighting....

 

It's gettin there!!

 

I changed my plan, I'm going to just put a bunch of red led's right behind the redline so it lights up red, and keep everything else blue.....I might even put a random red led behind the red spots on the cluster....undecided...
