right next to the passenger headrest (inner side) is the best.....they make a bracket thats actually pretty easy to mock up.....plus you'd get a better shot of the driver and the road if you angled it a tad to the driverside.........just my opinion.
Had three official kills this weekend coming back from toyotafest in long beach. First was just a fun little race between me and my friend's st185. We both took a 5th gear pull and i pulled away from him slowly. It's only cause he has a 2nd gen 3sgte dyno'd at 240hp and i've got a 3rd gen 3s in my st165. Second was this hard ass in a civic coupe. He pulled right up next to me on the freeway and reved on me like crazy. i gave him the ok, dropped it into 4th, gave him a sec to get going n lauched. he was left tasting exhaust before i even got into 5th. and last was a race between my st165, a turbo'd jetta, and my friend's st185. we were all lined up on the freeway cruising around 50mph and all dropped it into 3rd and took off, i was about a half a car length on the jetta and he was slightly ahead of my friend when i hit 4th and i was gone after that.. then he pulls up next to me again after i slowed back down. i wasn't sure if he wanted another go or not but while he was cruising next to me, i hear two loud pops and i look over and he throws on the hazards, and pulls around behind me all the way off onto the shoulder.. guess he blew his motor.. felt bad for the guy since it was like 10pm at night and it looks like he'll be waiting for a tow truck now... but all in all, it was pretty fun..
Today I was late to see the Euro 2012 soccer match so I was in a hurry...I was in a two lane road and I went to left lane to overtake an Alfa Romeu SW 1.9JTD,I put 2nd gear and the guy accelerates too...damn,I passed him and I kept the speed around 100km/h but he sticked to the rear of the celica...in front we caught a red light, turned green and buuum 1st gear full throtlle,2nd gear 3rd gear 4rd gear 170km/h very quick, the guy was far behind:razz This car continues to surprise me after 3 years!!!But one thing that I notice is that the car is with a lot better response to the throtlle since the track day,is quicker without a doubt!!
That extra throttle response is probably attributed to getting your revs up nice and high and blasting some carbon buildup out of your engine. Get a can of carby cleaner and give your throttlebody and intake mani a blast with it, you'll really notice the difference once your engine burns off all the built up crap. You'll have blue/white smoke for around 3 minutes, but after that it runs great.
Make sure it's CRC brand, or at least says on the can that it's safe for O2 sensors otherwise your O2 sensor will get coated in silicon and die lol
Hi guys.
