I like the black roof & mirrors, looks even better with window tints

Which car did you put the visor in? - I'm looking for a RHS visor for mine
Nice job with the vinyl's, looks original?

All french 4gen got black mirrors (never got body matching paint). I plan a light glasstint.

The visor is still in a box into my garage. I didn't find time to install it but I plan to put it into the red one.
Side vinyls? Look as good as original
Rear deck lid stickers are original as the 040 white body paint.

Very nice car man. You do a good job of giving the car some TLC and it shows

    Thanks to all,

The white one is my daily driver.
The red one has a blown head gasket and I'm rebuilding a new 3SGE for it.

I have a spare set of these folding mirrors. I plan to give them a new glossy black paint to replace the pair which is on the car.
Here, all 4gen got folding mirrors and it's - relatively - easy to find a set.

My red Celica mirrors. Of course, the sticker isn't original.

I also have a pair of '70 GM bullet mirrors (out of a '71 Pontiac Catalina, I think) and I would like to adapt them on my white Celica (with a white base and a black glass shell to match the roof delimitation). The problem is the base does not have the correct angle with the door panel, and I don't really know how to fill the door mounting plate of the original mirror.

I (and most likely others) would be willing to pay shipping for a decent set of LHD mirrors - the manual folding/power mirror/non heated type. I'm not sure which trim levels there had the heated type as opposed to the non-heated type - you probably know since you live there. I know they stick out a bit more than ours and less aerodynamic, but the folding aspect of it is worth it. Why the USA/Canada didn't get them is beyond me :roll

If you could do this for us let me know :fingersx

In France, we got only one mirror type : the black painted/manual folding/power mirror/non heated type.
I think that the body paint matching, heated and powered folding type was reserved to JDM.
As you know, I soon will have a set for sale (the pair that's on my white celica, pics above). In very good shape, they just need a paint job to be perfect.
If you are interested, I can reserve this set for you.
On the other hand, I can also have a look for others sets for sale here.
There are always 4gen parting out for parts around the country.
An average price for a nice pair is around $50/60 (40/50 euros) + domestic shipping (to get them at home) + international shipping (around $30).
I think the max total price to pay would be $100, maybe less.

On my side, I'm still looking for an illuminated sun visor (passenger side on LHD).
We could make a partial trade (a sun visor for a mirror + $25 for the other mirror).

I might be able to source an illuminated sun visor, but i'm only looking for the bases of the mirror. even from wreckers, don't really care what shape (scratches and all) they are, as long as they work.

    OK. I will PM you.

Both left and right side bases? I don't know if I'll be able to locate only bases, but I'll look also for wreckers.

Yes please. Hopefully they're cheaper to grab from a yard and for shipping too. Bet you anything that my wrecker will charge me something stupid like $30 for the visor...hope not!

    Strange, mine are heated.

Correct, JDM did not get heated mirrors

Have you seen any mirrors with shrouds on them? I saw some with extra visor pieces
on them and they look shorter as well.

Hard to explain without pics, might be wrong & coming from another model but I'll
see if I can grab them
