This wednesday I'll be taking possession of a dark metallic red 1986 GTS liftback, red interior. 174,000 miles, new tires, clutch, battery, timing belt... the car has been in the family since 1992, and was garage kept for most of that time. It also has an awesome stereo system. Rockford/Fosgate speakers, amp, capacitor, 12in. subwoofer, 6 CD changer... Now for the bad. It will need a new axel, as one of them is starting to click, and it has a small dime sized patch of rust behind the right rear wheel. All in all, this car is in great shape. I can't thank Letze enough for finding me this car.
How do you keep getting cars with no rust? Not fair. I can fit a football through my rear quarter panel. BTW what color is the interior of the car? I have the black interior pulled out of the Alltrac including the seat belts if ya need'em/want'em still.
His wheels locked because of rain and poor traction.. mike, Full black? You just tossing it or trading? Cause I'd love a full black interior for my car Store it and I'll buy it from you next meet
I've done a buck O 9 in the dark... in the rain... on a winding road... with many hills and random ass curves... and I'm still alive... LOL so is the car I did it in.
buy some yokohama parada spec 2s, run them down to the wear bars, and screw up your allignment...alot. then try to drive 150 miles on drenched roads on the highway. not fun....
Getting rid of the odd and end parts. Seat belts, back seat, front seats. Maybe some of the interior trim(dunno about that yet.) right now kinda looking for some beatup black door panels for pieces off of them.
I was going 25mph, man. 30mph at the most. Mike, my interior is red. Not sure what I think about that, as I haven't actually sat in the car yet. Would be cool to maybe to a two-tone interior, red and black.
Schools out in 30 minutes, then ride the bus home, then drive 2 hours to D.C. to get it. It will be worth the wait. A/C and Cruise Control work too. Luxuries that were broken on the blue Celica. hmm...guess my name should be 86GTSMonkey now, eh?
guess he's too busy driving it to tell us how things went! (no call from him but I'll give him a day )
