It's been a while since I've posted on here. So heres a brief story of whats been happening. First off, my '87 GTS is looking more and more like a racecar, secondly I'm still trying to get into my new much bigger shop/office space, thirdly I just recently became the Chief Starter for NASA Southeast. In a nutshell, I've been pretty busy what with gutting this car, adding race seat and harnesses, plus new coil-overs. And with all that, I've had race weekends at Road Atlanta, VIR, and Rockingham to officiate and run the car at, it's almost enough to kill a man!! Well I'll guit now, enough bitchin for one day, so heres some new pics from my last VIR HPDE weekend with NASA Mid-Atlantic. Hope these will wet your appitites for getting your cars on track, I can't wiat to get back out really soon myself! racer
nice man! props for reppin the 4g with those porsches and mustangs we can see in those pics. bring home some wins!
Hey good stuff racerb. I was out with my friend to Williow Springs this weekend for some HPDE. I was helping my friend get some seat time in his ITS RX7.
Guys I been working hard this past few months and I been puting money aside for the Celi. I will try to get the car for the last SCCA race. I will have pics of the work.
I need to install the new tranny but I also have to get an LSD for it. I need to make new Headers for the car, the TRD ones that came with it in 1986 cracked. And I need to save around $1500 for the race weekend. I need around $3000 to get it all going. I know that $3000 is not too much money but I put every penny I had into my business, that’s what broke my back. I opened my own Insurance office in Hollywood C.A, Its called Right Start Insurance. I hope business picks up so I can start racing again.
Right Start Insurance !!!!!!!!!!!! Congrats- What are you insuring Homes- Autos-?? Who are you working with(ins. company) ??
Hey guys, sorry I kinda zoned out on ya'll. Just recently had surgery and have been trying to get back to my normal routine, well normal for me. I have been working the NASA races as their Cheif of Start and kinda neglecting the Celi lately. The Summer Shootout for Legends Cars has started up here, so I've been crewing for a couple of my buddies at the Tuesday night events. This week we race both Tuesday and Wednesday for their 4th of July double-header, I'm not real excited about being out there in the blistering heat two nights in a row!!! Well back to the GTS, it's basicly just as I unloaded it from VIR. So if I decide to take it to Carolina Motorsports Park in two weeks, it's going to need some attension pretty soon. Because I'm Cheif Starter, I get all the free track time I want, it's just theres hardly enough people to help on the start stand and time for me to prep the car at the track. It's kinda odd, but I just haven't found a good way to mix working and playing at the track and not being rushed to the point of it being any fun!! Hope to have more news on the car soon, but for now it's kinda hurry up and wait on all fronts. racerb
