I need to know what turbo to go with for my engine. I have no clue were to start. From my list of mods i plan to do. Everyone says GT series, which I belive is garrett. But I have no Idea 300-500 for a HP Goal.

I hope you're doing suspension and brakes before you're doing all this. You want a car that can handle the new power. I hear a writeup WITH pics coming along!!!

Well Im building the from inside out. I don't know if that is backwards or not but thats how im doing this.

    Engine
    Managment
    Suspension
    Paint
    Wheels/Tires

what he means is building the engine backwards. the "right" way is to get the innards first, then support system, then the turbo last.

really with the list of crap you have to get there is no reason to look into getting a turbo now. technology is changing so fast on turbos that in the 2-3 years it'll take for you to be ready there will be something bigger and better.

well, I know your really anxious rob. but honestly lets work at one thing at a time. everything will still be available later. maybe even better. so lets get that block built. then go from there. your trying to do 2-3k in work and have plans for 10k in work lol

but when it comes to turbo's

    I personally like the Gt28Rs..

but like origenal plans. focus on the block. then go from there. do what you have budgeted at the time

I must admit I have done things the wrong way round as a Hybrid turbo was my 3rd purchase after filter and exhaust. However My end goal of 300bhp is realistic on stock inards with correctly set up fueling, ignition and intake temperatures.

I wish you luck with the project, but there are a few damn quick cars with fairly stock internals, I think the key is in the management, as the std ecu is so "Safe" its the next area I will look at, as a forged build can still blow if thinks ainit all that right!
