those valve springs are for a 2nd gen turbo. that won't work. check on the rod bearings and make sure they are still available, they may not be. i don't think NGK makes wires for the 1st gen head but denso does. you don't need a whole supra turbo, just the exhaust housing. that manifold is a peice of shit, don't ever use one of those. you'll get 1 year of use before it cracks. this sounds like a nice build but you have a lot more research to do. all this stuff will be needed one day but for a stock to modded motor there is money better spent elsewhere first. there isn't any point in building motor with the factory ecu and externals.
well im doing all of that first. Then Hydra Nemesis Walbro 255 550 injectors upgraded externals. What External things do I need to include?
Thats the thing I am buy a part a paycheck. So I am looking to spend alot. I just am doing it backwards. Its not my daily driver. I am doing a very strong and reliable build. I want to build and leave alone. I don't want this digging into my engine bay every weekend to fix something bullshit. I know then I baught the wrong car. But thats my dream is to get this cars engine Stronger, Faster, And Just as reliable then toyota intended. So yeah Idk.
As I once read somewhere: Don't buy a turbo and build the rest of the engine around it, bulk up everything else first and then see what kinda big bad turbo she can handle.
Mother Fucking WORD.. Im building the internals so that my options are limitless. Im not going to buy a fuel cut eliminator and a electroinic boost controler when I can save that money and buy the hydra nemesis. Im not looking for horse power right off the bat. Building the inturnals so I have a plateform that can handle anything. So I will have a running engine that is not my goal HP but a plateform to build around. This is my timeline Internals (To Be Strong and able to handle HP) Externals ( To be Able to make that HP) Elecronics( So I Can Add things that make a difference) HP Upgrades ( Add those things that make a difference) Engine Suspension Cosmetics I understand Im buying things I don't really need. But I just want the piece of mind. But their are no shortcuts to success. It may take a long time and alot of money But in the end I will have something I am very proud of.
i wrote that. lol - Turbos - Here is where life gets tricky. At this point, this should be one of the last upgrades on your plate. If you go turbo first then you are building an engine to fit the turbo and not choosing the right turbo for your engine. It's much easier to make the turbo fit the engine than the other way around. You'll always want to go for wet ball bearings. You may option for coolant jackets or not, ceramic or not, clipped or not, twin entry or not, twin ball bearings or single, ect. There are a lot of options but always buy what fits your needs and applications. If needed wait until you have expert advice on what size turbo to begin looking at. http://st162.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=182
i say aquire the bottom end parts then build that. put that in the car with arp studs and cometic HG. get the head milled. then start aquiring parts for the externals. leave the head alone for the time being. the bottom end is nice to build but as far as the head goes, i'd wait until you get more stuff done.
Wow I finally feel that you understand. I don't have alot of money at one time so I will get the HP evenually but not at the time being. So I want to build a super strong engine that will probably push a little more than stock HP. So that when I do go to add the externals and electronics I have the platform strong and reliable enough to do so. So that what my engine works around Build and engine and get the turbo that fits it.
http://www.calicocoatings.com/coating_solutions_motorsports.html I'm assuming thats what Mafix means. If I were in your position, I'd just buy parts and store em until I could rebuild the engine. (Pistons, rods, bearings, gasket kit, and enough time to get the head and block machined). After that I would do the exhaust and intake. Then do what you want after that. Hope that helps.
