So my alltrac is going under the knife very soon and when i take her engine out im gonna have access to alot of things that would be very hard to reach wit the engine in. One of the first things on my list is to remove all power steering items and abs items.

For power steering can i just remove the resivior, lines, and pump without having to plug anything besides vacume lines?

Now with abs, which lines are abs? where is the contron unit? the electronics? Pictures will help a bunch.

Also, on top of the list are a/c items. I can remove the compresor but what about the stuff under the dash. Which boxes do i remove? Anything that needs to be pluged? I know im gonna need a new belt so dont remind me.

This could be a chance for a great write up guys!

I can understand the power steering removal, but why on earth would you want to remove the ABS? That doesn't make alot of sense.

I really don't see the gain vs the safety issue of removing the ABS... if you want to stop faster... override abs with the e-brake I do that all the time in my daily... :p

Power steering maybe... I see where you're going aswell but, try driving your car without power steering... (disconnect the ALT and see how difficult it is) you'll need to work out more than Willie does...

my abs is faulty anyways, it keeps locking up when randomly. Its hard to explain.

My ps pump is already detatched, i just need to take it one step further and completly remove everything...

  13. Was there no model of 4th gen celi that came with manual steering? I hate power steering but I want an actual manual box. Been trying to find one in a celica, camry or similar forever. any thought?
