Alright so I was in a car accident last night, here's what happened in a nutshell... I was driving in the left lane, someone pulled out from a parking lot (on my right) to go left... I am assuming they didn't see me and they smacked my poor yota's passenger side where my fiance, Mandi was. It was the other drivers fault, they were on a cell phone... turning while it wasn't her time... smacked me... Their front right side of their bumper hit my passenger door, fender, and kinda scraped into my tire/rim and the car was pushed over about 2 feet to my left side... really sucked. So far I know that my strut is bent, probably get both replaced, and ill need a new rim cause I think its bent, as well as fender and door repairs, i'm sure ICBC will get it all figured out for me.

I'll post the pics with the damage tomorrow night once I get them from Dad's camera

Here's some pics I took last week before the accident!

 

Like the license plate? Note the awesome pin-stripe... that will be removed soon... thought I could hide the old one with a thicker stripe, but it was peeling off as you can see . And my poor headlight, its been like that since the day I got it, that will be fixed soon too!

Anyone have ideas for Shelf? I have my fog lights, stereo as well as my alarm installed. I have no rust besides a little bit below the passenger door, like a tiny bit. OH and my hood needs to be repaired too, it has a lot of deep scratches and dints.

'87 GTS Hatchback

Hey guys! Just got my hands on a decent parts car/restoration car... not sure what im going to do yet but here are some pics! Tell me what you think...

 

At this time the car doesn't run. But its trying like mad to turn over, you can hear it whining lol... We will probably diagnose it this weekend, give it a clean... look over the car in and out, under... Ill let you all know my decision.

Id love to have a car (especially a 3S-GE) I can boot around the track with. Don't get me wrong, I love my FE... but It would be awesome to own a GE even if the body isn't in great condition... maybe we can throw the GE into the coupe =D THAT would be great... but considering my FE is in such great condition I wouldn't want to risk it. If I end up parting it out, ill let you guys know.

Expect a lot of questions if I do fix her up!

 

Fender

Inside fender pic, and after swap. I'll post pictures of what the fender looked like damaged from the accident.

 

Grill, Headlights and Hood

Pics of the grill, headlights and hood that were also swapped over. All parts were in MUCH better quality than the previous ones on the Shelf. Notice I switched the side lights from the GTS, I didn't like them at first, but they're growing on me... that and they hold the pieces beside the grill and below the lights =D

Black Shelf washed up with the new paint!

::Update::

Some pics after I washed the car with new paint! Just picked her up yesterday morning and finnished putting the lights/accessories back on with my dad and bro last night.

You can't really see it now, but its a metalic black with a frost blue mixed in. If at the perfect angle in sunlight, the car gets a dark blue glaze over the black... looks wicked!

It started to get dark out, and Shelf was still wet... cant' really see the glaze. Ill keep the camera with me tomorrow if it gets sunny again and ill get the angle of the glaze and ill post it!

Notice the antenna has been shaved off! Looks friggin rad.

If you were to compare the pics from the beginning of this thread to now, there's been a huge change in the front end of Black Shelf. Im also contemplating another decal, for the top middle of the windshield... like the decal on the rear window... What do you guys think? It would be the same picture.

Damages from the accident before repairs/paint

Here are the pics I was originally going to post the day after the accident. Never got around to it... but here they are!

Did I mention that I found a part of the cavalier inside my fender? lol...

 

Window Tint:

Any recommendation on window tint? I'm wanting to tint the rear window and back seat windows.
