I like the look of white, but hate the blue interiors.

if i am not mistaken that would be a 4 door hatch back corolla. or its a chevy nova. same car essentially since chevy had the nummi plant here in cali where both were produced. 4 door hatch corollas are awesome. take out the 4gc add a gze and call it good. i believe they also had a gt-s trim in that model. but i could be wrong

u said uve partially hidden wiring, if u want a better look, you could relocate the ingniter (1 bolt) and the coil (2 bolts) that would immeditaely smoothen things out. im going 2 be putting a cover on the water log on my engine

Hmm I see your missing the bottom lower lip, its funny how some SX's are missing it others don't. Out of curiousity, is your SX an 86 model that was built in the first half of the year? Does it have manual windows?

Looks like a decent base to work with, a few suggestions: Box in the pod, these cars suffer something shocking from heat soak with uncovered extractors and open filters. You can also get nailed in NSW for an exposed filter. Which wiring has been hidden? If its in the engine bay, I can see all the factory wiring in the factory locations :p Heheh.

I could be wrong too, but I don't think we ever got anything except the 16 valve 4AGE locally delivered in Corollas. Later ones all used 7AFE engines I think, all 20 valves have been swapped at some stage.

oh k i could move the coil somewhere but not too far because of the length of the lead. and what do u mean by igniter? i dont know what part of the engine your talking about. i am also thinging of putting the battery in the boot and then making a custom metal heat sheild around the air filter out of sheet metal.

it has got manual windows, im not too sure about the exact build date of it all have to check. im gonna box in the pod soon but havent decided how im gonna do it yet. my corolla has got a 4A-c motor in it which is only 8 or 12 valve i think and carby. i could just put a -GE head on it but i found out ill need new pistons as well i thought it would be too much work.

edit - your right bout the 20v, im pretty sure they only had the 4age 16v versions from the factory unless u swap the heads.

I'd move it up about 6 inches, so that the filter is lined up with the stock intake hole in the fender, unless the sheetmetal surrounds it. Hard to tell from the picture.

but wouldnt that make it hotter because it is closer to the motor? and does the lenght of the intake pipe affect the performance in some way?
