it used to be listed somewhere which wire you cut. someone told me that doing that cna eff up your p/s, thoguh I think thats more of a rumor.
jeremy, never said anything about the p/s(power steering?) he said the only thing is when it was disconnected you will get a check engine light if its "turned off" and then back on while running. i was going to put a switch in and that way when i wanted to hit 120+ on a long stretch of highway i could just switch it off, then when i want my cruise control switch it back on, and that would be when the check engine lite came back on. but i cannot find the ecu pin to cut.
well the link for it in the garage stopped working, I know theres 2 ways to do that mod, one is to cut the wire, the other is to remove what the wire is connected to. I was planning on wiring it to a handy little switch too.
Cut the Blue-White connected to Pin 7 on the ECU. This is what comes from the Speed Sensor off of the Instrument Cluster.
110 on my 88 convertible, then it starts cutting the spark its fun your like wtf  man wtf  , then as you slow down to under 100 engine kicks back in and your off again till you pick up 110 then wtf  man wtf  at least untill you realize what it is
mph for me, maybe someone dissabled it, all of them have it, it could be the speed sensor from the dash is bad, or if youve swapped in a different dash(only way to tell is measure the voltage on the blue/white wire to pin 7 on the ecu.
do you have it dissabled? maybe the speed sensor isnt working as is. my speed sensor works perfectly on my 88 gt and 110 hits there it is acting up.
Shit, just get an alltrac  Mine doesn't cut til 148 mph (tested by me). Now gettin there is what takes forever.
