^^x2 thanks for the read spiderman! BTW until now I didnt have any problem with temperature or the radiator! Thanks! The celica is stripped at the moment, only front seats and dash...I'm cleaning it and I need to check the power windows system because the windows dont go up easily :/ Didnt find any rust at least Almost certain that the celica will be at the track in May
More pressure = less water (water expands when heated) Raising the cap pressure increases the boiling point and the pressure - Too many people do this and wonder why pipes & radiators start bursting! Not to mention head gaskets Ways to fix an inadequate cooling system 1)Oil cooler - yes oil cools the block too 2)Bigger radiator 3)Lower temp thermostat 4)Better fans If you do decide to increase your cap pressure remember to increase the hoses and HG, silicone hoses and steel HG are a MUST
Today I've got some time to take celica out of the garage...car is all striped out the sound of the engine /exhaust on the interior is so loud OMG xD
I haven't started yet Steve,I think i'll start next week only, too much work to do this week unfortunatly :|
that is very clean......nice pics......pardon my ignorance but were they availble with that engine or is it swapped....ive always dug those engines, i had a fisrt gen mister two that screamed .....crazy redline.....anyways very cool...thanks for sharing
Yup, european smaller engined models are equipped with 4AGE. Later models had the economy versions (4AFE in AT180, 7AFE in AT200).
Thanks t100celicadrvr!Has Lion said they're available with this engine here in europe! I've always liked 4age's 16v,too bad it needs a lot of money to get more hp without making it turbo, but its a very good engine in my opinion!
your very welcome...and they might not have the numbers but they are a fun engine for sure....i always thought they were a very cosmetically apealing engine......cool looking i love the large steelies too....gives it a factory tuner feel
Sure its a very fun engine in a fun car,its very pleasurable to drive this car in windy roads...1st and 2nd gear are a little bit long but in my opinion have a perfect 3rd and 4th gear!Even on highway its dificult to go below 150km/h I think its because of the gear box scaling too! Now in May I want to see how it feels on the track I want the steelies to be larger but the money that I have to spend to do that I think I'll buy a set of alloy wheels! Sometimes it surprises me,only 125hp but can reach some high speeds! 285818_247474625271957_100000282637270_1019951_3339601_o por celica_gt-i, no Flickr I want you guys to know that I dont do this every day, maybe I do this once a year,I never use highways, its very rare and when I use I do a safe driving 99% of the time!
It doesn't have as many hp, but I don't think it's any slower than a 3SGE! The 4AGE is a great engine, it's lighter, revs more, and those models are usually equipped with less of the heavy extras
Hell yeah!!! I never had the opportunity to compare with a 3sge but I believe that the 4age is a little bit slower! But is a rev happy engine and I love that! I feel the celica is a little heavy and a 4age in an ae86 feels more faster/powerfull because the corolla is around 150kg lighter :/
