I love roads like that :)

"Pine arbre magik its the ultimate G-meter"

I didn't read your full post first, just opened the link, and I was going to say the same thing :D However, we call it Wunderbaum (that german company sells the most of them here).

I think this one is french,I wrote it wrong its arbre magique I think, but propably the same thing, only different names :p

I love this kind of roads too,and Im lucky because in around 200km I have lots of roads like this, some of them used to the hillclimb or rally championships, one of them actually is used for the European Hillclimb championship :D

And I live in a town that had for almost a century a street circuit (track) and its a lot of fun at doing some of the corners that some of the best pilots in Portugal have done years ago!!!To bad they ended with the circuit/racing just because of the looks of the city, they lost a lot of money because thats a lot of people commin to town in racing weekends...maybe one day I'll make a video of the celica through the complete circuit, only two or three corners no longer exists,so you guys still can see how it was!!

i was using it. but im going through some trial an error right now. i upgraded my piping to the ge stuff. so im getting more of a direct air feed. i think im getting too much air to mix with the fuel, which might explain the way im eating up gas so much. so i went and bought a paper filter to help restrict the air flow for better results? not sure yet. but, if its the same, then feel free to pay shipping =]

yea, sure thing man. i'll keep you posted. on a side note, i did gain a considerable amount of lost power from taking a step back. launching the celica at 3000 rpm, i burn through the entire first gear and chirp the beginning of second. the gear box plays a good role too. but, from what it was before, definitely a better response

Thats cool, but its surprising that you gain more power with the paper filter!!!

BTW Track Day is this Sunday:driving

Hey guys, track day was yesterday...3 sessions of ~30m each...heres the video of the first session (still uploading the other two)!Too bad the camera position and the sun dont let you guys see the track,I'll try a better position for the camera next time!
Let me resume the first session:
Slightly wet track,15 years old tires (195/60r14),I was with a lot of desire to go fast but the will to not destruct the car was bigger, even so on the 2nd or 3rd lap I braked a little bit later and decided to follow through the escape zone, but the kerbs were so f'kin big (you notice that the camera changes position when I passed through the kerbs).
I was using almost all the time 3rd and 4th gear,I tried to use 2nd gear sometimes but the track was a little bit wet and I couldnt put the power on the ground,so I decided to save the tires and the fuel and keep using 3rd gear, still the car was very slow in some corners!
Best lap as around 1m55s,experienced guys with good tires and cars with the same power can take laps around 1m45s!But I got to admit that I felt bad for the car hiting those kerbs a lot of time and using 2nd gear in some corners so I prefered to keep the car safe!!Maybe next time with better tires I'll try to improve my lap times a little bit,but the most interesting part is that was a lot of fun and I enjoyed a lot driving the celica :D
At the end of first session the right front tire was in really bad shape :/

    2nd session video,the understeer session...
Started to use more 2nd gear, the time was better around 1m53s...but soon I decided to use 3rd gear again because front tires were gettin really really bad, lots of understeer even in 3rd gear after 15min!
At 23m37s my first time on the grass with a big FWD drift :razz
At the end of this session I changed the front tires to the rear!

Today I changed the heater control light (thanks goingfinn for the DIY thread;)),but the green cover was sticked to the bulb and I couldn't take it off complete :facepalm
Now I have amber light on the heater, anyone knows if I can find the green cover in a Toyota Dealer?

Bought some Motip polyester and fiber glass repair kit to repair the back panel, its my first time doing this,so wish me luck:confused2

    I'll post pics tomorrow...maybe xD

theres lots of filler on this panel,I removed only the cracked one,and the final result was ok...its the first time I've done this by myself so I'm kinda happy with the result:p
