Hey guys my windshield wiper motor may have burnt out. I can move it freely now and it will not move when i turn my wipers on, only the passenger side moves. I checked the fuse and the fuse is good. I cant seem to find an access point to swap the windshield wiper motor out. If anyone has some advice or has changed one before please let me know. The rainy season is about to start and I need my wipers lol.

Ya those little plastic clips can break and then your screwed so I went
hi tech and used a real fancy bearing, I copied the following from another
post I did. Now 2 years later and still work perfectly.

Heres a problem you may encounter, the windshield wiper drive arms
may have their little plastic clips break which means the pivot point
doesn't connect properly and your windshield wipers will make a clunking
sound as they go back and forth and you can't just buy a new plastic clip.
So last year I modified my drive arm but since it got deleted I have re
posted it again along with a reliability update.

So I found a place online that sold bearings and I got the fancy little one
    pictured for a few bucks.

I used a grinding wheel to get the bearing at the right height
    [IMG]

a piece of wax paper and a bit of bondo and I was ready to place the drive arm
    in position
    [IMG]

another piece of wax paper on top and then a flat piece of metal to shape the top
    and the final result
    [IMG]

    other side
    [IMG]

on the other arm I had to drill out the pivot ball

and re connected I used a couple of nylon lock nuts to keep them from loosening

And those pictures were dated may 2010 and I had never had any problems with
the new setup so far and in my opinion the bearing is a better design than the
    original Toyota design.

Where did you get the small bearing? And Part number?
