I'm pretty sure any S engine will bolt right in, doesn't matter what generation it is. Assuming you have the harness for it and everything else.
ya youll need to do some wiring, and may need to change the mounts a bit but not too much depending on teh series
It will also depend on what car it came out of it. ie: MR2, Camry etc. The MR2 one requires a little messing around since the alternator is in the wrong spot.
I laugh at any MR2 owner who has to change their alternator. apparently they have electric power steering too (no belt)?
ive found a couple but they are from mr2s id rather not have to mess with it too much im kind of lazy lol and i just want a a fast clean swap but i wouldn't mind having to mess with it if its the beams engine
Another thing to note when looking at MR2 engines, the shifter cables are on the opposite sides. Apparently the shifter mechanism from your original box will swap over though.
and the facking alt is on the bottom on the back, so you'd want some sort of cover for it, or move it somehow.

is the second gen beams 3sge engine smog legal here in the states...california in particular? i see them on ebay a lot.
