I have been looking to upgrade my original suspension in my ST162 and have researched many different brands with different opinions. These brands are Monroe, KYB, Pedders, Boges/Sachs, and even looked into Koni Adjustables.
Ive had some say Monroe are good others say bottom of the range and dont last. Some say KYB are similar to original quality others say average quality. Some say Pedders sportsrider is recommended others say pedders are monroe's painted red. Some say Boges are good and have a lifetime warranty others say there designed for European roads not Australia(to many bad roads and potholes). Have not heard or found any bad comments regarding Koni's.

I didn't plan on getting coil overs as did not think I would need them and costly plus I wont be racing. Only a daily driver, just like taking corners at speed.

I am leaning towards Koni's as they are only about $300 more than the rest.

I use Koni Sports with infinite adjustability, but that said, I have also used the KYB AGXs and liked them also. It's more personal preference and what you can afford to do. The KYB GR-2s are a good compromise with better than stock handling and an affordable price, plus take lowering quite well.

    Thanks for the reply.
What colour are the koni sports?
Are they the same as the yellow koni adjustables with an external adjustment knob?
I will be running sports low king springs all round.

Yeah, the Koni Sports are yellow, they have about 4-5 different colors for their shocks.

If you're super serious about racecar like handling, then these special Koni race inserts are what you want, I'm working toward building some of these in the future........

There are also special inverted strut inserts, but these require special machining to make the operate properly.......http://www.koniracing.com/2817.cfm#2816
